I think we are gonna enjoy the style of play this year under Fickell. With Vrabel at his side, it's gonna be very intense on the defensive side of the ball. The DB's made a lot of good plays today, and the O-line was pretty sound. Miller will be fun to watch in the coming years, but just needs more reps. He's already ahead of where TP ever was as a frosh at overall mechanics of the throw.

Lots of work to do. Go Bucks!

Ianello can go on with his loser self
Zips head coach Rob Ianello – who is now 1-12 as the team’s head coach – ripped Fickell for keeping starting running back Carlos Hyde in the game in an attempt to pick up 100 yards on the game’s final three plays (Hyde finished with 93 yards).
When Ianello and Fickell met at midfield, the Akron coach scolded Fickell, saying, “I don’t think that’s real good sportsmanship but good luck the rest of the year.”

Haha who cares? It's not like they scored at the end anyway...like Spielman said, "It's not Ohio State's job to stop Ohio State, it's Akron's job."

Exactly. Wouldn't Hyde be 3rd on the depth chart if both Herron and Hall would have played? I'm sorry you can't stop what would be OSU's 3rd string tailback but not OSU's problem. Young guys getting reps. What do you want them to do? Put the band in so you can score?

BTW, Akron's HC can go fuck himself. Maybe your team wouldn't suck so damn bad if you weren't a bitch.

Take your nice payday you got from OSU and move the fuck on.

He comes from the Weis staff at Notre Dame, so there is no further explanation needed on why he is a bitch. NOBODY at Akron wants him. And to think, Akron could have hired Fickell instead of him... SMFH

 wrong, but again, I can't help but laugh----Bartolo.....HAHAHA

Overall I was pleased with the Buckeyes performance today, especially the young running backs and receivers--I still think Miller at QB gives us the best chance to win against better teams, and our defense was solid as expected--and our special teams didn't give up a score!!!! Next week against Toledo will be a better test, but I still expect a three touchdown margin of victory...damn it's nice to be playing football again instead of just talking about it...GO BUCKS!!!!

Bucks looked very good considering all the suspended players not playing. As for the Akron coach's comments, what a clueless clown. The starting TB was the 3rd team kid and was playing behind the 3rd team OL at the end of the game. You can't stop that drop down to D-II where you belong. Loser !

Yeah smh at Ianello. Ohio State only had 2 RBs available yesterday and they used both of them. Hyde was at least the 3rd string RB. I'd feel kind of silly telling Ohio State off for not taking their 3rd string RB out against me. That makes a pretty strong statement about how good Akron is. I don't know if he expected us to take 3 knees and punt or what?

Ianello would have had a better case if he complained about the blitzing going on late in the game. Personally, I loved the aggression though.

Ianello needs, to focus on the fact that Brutus Buckeye could have run for 100 on his ungodly shitty team before going on to scold anyone.

Well, I was pretty impressed w/ Bauserman, and there's nothing proving Miller to be better at this point. Also, this freshman class is legit.
