I'm looking for a new car and this Acura TSX caught my eye along with the Chevrolet Malibu.

Does anyone have any experience with either of these or a suggestion for around $30,000?

Can't beat Honda 4 Cylinder..

TSX and Malibu are VERY different cars and classes. Even if you bought one for the same price (assuming you got RIPPED on a Malibu), the malibu will still be cheaper for monthly budget with better gas mileage and cheaper parts & repair. TSX may even require premium gas.

I think the TSX is in a luxury class and it'll hold its value long term better (i'd think)


But.. remember you're gonna be paying on this (well most do) for 5 years. Its easier to make those payments 3 years down the road if you LOVE your car, but not so much if its just a used chevy :)

I have a 2004 Acura TSX, and really like it a lot. I am getting in the mood to trade it in and get a RDX or MDX though.

Acura TL, Pontiac G8 if you feel you need 400 HP to get the kids to school, and the wild card, the 2011 Buick Regal Turbo which is getting pretty solid reviews.

My sister recently purchased a pre-owned 2009 TSX. She loves it. Great car and I think she purchased it for around $25k. My cousin drives a new Malibu, which is nice as well, however he didn't get many options so it's got that "rental car" look.

Neither one has experienced any mechanical issues yet, however collectively they've owned the cars for about a year and a half lol.

I had three Integras in a row. No mechanical issues, but the maintenance was pretty expensive. (I rolled the first one, put 185k on the second and the third was a lease.)

Also, the newer Acura's do all use premium gas.
