I have been sober for almost 24 hours now....this is a step in some sort of direction. I used to drink alot......Now I drink alot more. The last 24 hours have been hell, but with the help of the OC I know I can go at least another 2-12 hrs...

Whattya say ETB...you in this too...??

If you really want to quit drinking, outside support will only take you so far. You have to make the decision and have the discipline to not take another drink.

I quit drinking for a year. Told myself and others that I was done. The pride I have in proving other people wrong is stronger than the urge to drink.

Alright I caved at an hour and 40 minutes.

I did go about 18 months without drinking. It really wasn't by choice per se. I was working 14-16 hour days and was on call at all times. I didn't really miss it as all I did was work then sleep. I've been trying to make up for that time ever since.

I never said anything about quitting...just holding off 2-12 more hours... and I win!!!! Set your goals low....achieve them...Than celebrate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW You wanna meet out at Jakes for a few cold ones before you come into the Hostile environment known as Bear Country before the game in a few weeks?
