May be right, I heard 41-18 4th quarter score announced at the Fitch-Harding game.

54-18 final... I will say this, Ursuline played awful in the first half. Tons of turnovers and to compound your problems, Reardon opted to do a punt with Durkin 7 yards back on back-to-back possessions, only for each to get blocked. Those led to two short-field scores for Red Lion.

Ursuline for most of the game had more yards than Red Lion, but Ursuline's 5+ turnovers, it may have been 7-8 when it was all said and done, did them in. Furthermore, careless offside penalties (#52 or #54 had a ton, forgot the number) and TONS of missed tackles by the Irish.

Red Lion was CLEARLY the better team. Ursuline, even if they held onto the football, would have had to play flawless to beat Red Lion. The USC kid is fabulous and will be a 5-star recruit when it is all said and done. Their RB was a speed demon and killed the Irish D all night.

Ursuline has a tough road ahead with Mentor and Mentor Lake Catholic the next few weeks, but Coach Reardon and Kempe will have them ready to go...

Just want to clear up a few things, there is a lot of talk and rumors, must of which are negative, biased and flat out untruths. RLCA is an actual "Delaware school", it is located in Bear, Delaware. All of the players reside in Delaware, 90% were even born in the state and have never lived elsewhere. We can recruit, not sure how much we do because our roster is the same as it was last year with only 2 new kids, that I know of. One of them i know personally and he was born in Christiana Hospital 2 weeks before my son. We are a small private school with enrollment less than 1000 for High School. Because of the jealousy by haters and the cowardice of many local schools and coaches, we withdrew from the DIAA. That had nothing to do with recruiting or anything else. We simply wanted to play the best competition we could find. ........... Obviously we could have chosen less talented competition, but why do that, we want to be the best, so we challenge the best. Therefore we will be playing Ursuline on Friday and making two more trips to Ohio in the next few weeks. If you check our schedule there are no slouches, We play all ranked and regarded opponents.
That is a honorable and novel idea!!! If you have a stacked team...play other stacked teams!!! Perhaps you are setting an example for other schools !!! Congrats on your win tonight!!!

Wow... Ursuline is no slouch, but "legal" recruiting is a killer. Bounce back Ursuline... Ohio is behind you.

Wooooooow, what a game, 54 - 18 and it wasnt that close. I was there after all and I was terribly disappointed in the IRISH. You guys talked a lot of pre game trash in the parking lot, walking to the stadium, in the stands and on the field. But when it was all said and we were done, it was Red Lion 54 Ursuline 18 and we gave away 12 pts. Please lets not hear any more garbage about Red Lion, recruiting or anything else. Who's next ?

I thought Ursuline looked to be a very good team who had a bad night.. Yes RL played flawless on offense and did some things well but there are things to improve on as well.. Great win for our boys and I found Ursuline to be a gracious host and thank them for the game and venue.. As for the their boys talking a little trash before the game well. my take is "so what" .. They earned it.. when you win 21 straight and three straight titles you kind of expect that.. Of course you would rather them be humble but that really isn't the make up of good football players for the most part.. Never the less they may have taken RL lightly but I doubt 5 turnovers is very characteristic of their teams.. I like their running backs play those boys ran hard.. very good backs.. Good luck to the Irish the rest of the way.. See you next year hopefully.. I am sure without the turnovers this game would have been closer.. to DEdad c'mon man act like you have won before LOL

Ursuline Total Offense: 544 yards

Red Lion Total Offense: 462 yards

Ursuline got destroyed by their own mistakes. Red Lion was definitely a better team, but the score should have never had gotten to 54-18.

Ursuline has kids from 1 county... Perhaps the talk of the recruting can stop now, seeing as how they played a team with kids from 5 states and 2 countries...

I guess they don't teach anything about winning gracefully at Red Lion... Surprising for a Christian Academy :/...

With all do respect its kind of embarrassing that you come on an ohio high school website after your team played a good game and turnovers killed ursuline. You say you try to schedule the best schools why would you want to play D5 ursuline not D1 St eds? or St X ?

Huh??? just my sense of humor,, was really looking for some sympathy about Irene not taking a shot at Ursuline.. We scheduled who would play us.. and Ursuline is a very good team so stop with the D5 stuff you know they are much better than that.. They have the same amount of students as our school. We are D2 in DE which is the equivelant of nothing in Ohio. .. We tried to schedule Don Bosco (actually our JV team is playing them) but we didnt have enough rank for them to play us.. We had Miramar on the schedule as well but they backed out due to player death.. We open next year with Oaks Christian.. Trust me we will play anyone who will play us.. We certainly did not think Ursuline was going to be anything close to easy.. That's crazy talk. And they were not easy and like you said turnover killed them.. but the D gets some creit for creating turnovers as well.. We play three teams in Ohio so I figured to come here and get know each other.. and seriously the "christian card"?? Last I checked Catholics were Christians too.. but unlike popular opinion Christians are allowed to have a sense of humor and have fun bantering with others. . in case you didn't know..Lighten up Francis LOL Seriously have St Eds or St X call our AD we will play.. We have open weeks this year. oh and FYI we have Good Counsel this year and didnt they woop up on St X last year on ESPN.. just sayin..

Seroiusly .. Red Lion is ranked 520 something and Ursuline is ranked in the top 50 in the Nation and this guy wants to act like we scheduled "our sisters of the poor " or something..
