Like arround 750.. But thats K-12...

Here is the link to the most recent USA Today story.. It is pretty accurate as far as stories go.. about 90%... Honestly what Red Lion does is really not new and the "ony" reason it is a national story is because of the Sills offer from USC in 7th grade.. Take that out of the equation then its realy not a news story of national attention.

Here is a story about Good Counsel last year very similiar that never made it past the local rag..

http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/articles/39438/bernie-dancel-good-counsels-high-school-football-philanthropist/

The stories are almost identical except Dancels son is at New Mexico ...and Dancels investments dwarf the Red Lion guys..

Congrats to Red Lion, please take our Ursuline friends with a grain of salt. Let me explain a little about Ursuline here in Ohio, they are a D 5 school, that gets the best recruits in the Youngstown area, (well, them and Mooney often share them), therefore, they often compete with the best and biggest schools in the state of Ohio, they are not used to getting their tails whipped. They get on here after a blowout win, and give kudos to the other team, acting all humble and give back handed compliments. Well, we NOW see the true Ursuline/Mooney fan. Not so humble guys. Dang....Show a little class.

ALWAYS? Always trolling YCS's? Seriously? The only thing funnier is, (later in this very thread), you ask the enrollment of Red Lion.

NOW, you guys are concerned with enrollment numbers. Any other time enrollment numbers don't really matter because the parochial kids work harder and want it more....I guess your kids didn't really want this one, huh?

Oh please Skank, Red Lion won and they deserved to. Ursuline played terrible, despite having 100 yards more of offense than them. Even IF Ursuline does not turn it over, Red Lion would still have won, albeit by a smaller margin.

Can't wait for Red Lion to take it to your Tigers.... Awww Yeah!!!

See? There it is. "Red Lion won and they deserved to", you could have left it at that, but then you add this little gem. "Ursuline played terrible". You don't stop there, you include this, "Despite having 100 yards more of offense than them". One may think you're done now, but no, you pull this out of your bag of tricks, "even IF Ursuline does not turn it over, Red Lion would still have won."

NOW, you can't wait for RL to, "take it to my Tigers". You seem so sure that they will, we all know how it turned out the last time you guys were very certain about a victory....After all it was only a couple of nights ago.

Red Lion faithful, the week leading up to the Massillon Red Lion game, please feel free to join in on our thread and converse with us. Two things are for certain, the Tigers will fight tooth and nail, and the Massillon football experience is one that you will not soon forget.

Here's to hoping you go 2-1 in Ohio.

And to the Red Lion faithful, just remember this.. Massillon lays claim to winning 22 state championships. However, NONE of them were won on the field. Mooney (7) and Ursuline (4) have eleven titles, all of which were won in a state championship game.

One of the moderators here is a Massillon Wannabee so be real careful how/what you post that week. One time he said "Delaware rhymes with Underwear" then turned and walked away. I think he's an Earnhardt fan too...

One quick question, How many of the players that contributed to the winning of those 22 state championships will play in the game against Red Lion ? I am just asking ?

None, but Massillon has been bringing in players from other states. I'm not sure if anyone they brought in has won titles in any other states.

This is silliness. Massilon isnt worried about Red Lion right now.. The have Glenn Oak to deal with.. and RL is focused on AACS and the Patriot Classic.. we can pick this up later on down the road.. peace

Wait a minute... What was the whole div5 needs to watch out? Ursuline does not play one div 5 school on there scheduled. They play if I'm not mistaken one just one div 3 school. The only time Ursuline will see a real div 5 school is in the playoffs.

With Ursuline's schedule, getting in the playoffs is not a given.

Thats it in the playoffs when it matters. Not many teams in d5 will even compete they are still the best team in d5 period theres not even a discussion about that.

Wow, you parochial boys get a little testy when one of your own gets their butts whipped. "What is the enrollment at Red Lion anyway?" Haha.

Yeah, but with their recruiting, I'd say it's a pretty good possibility.

Maybe, but you have been sucking on the parochial school teet for several years now. I'm sure by now they have made you a honorary "Alter Boy."

They do not have one player away from the youngstown area. So the recruiting card can get thrown out right now. Keep complaining cause your school is nothing anymore and move on.

Give it a rest already. I told you before, there is a thread already for your 'recruiting' talk. Take it there and stop trolling their threads.
