I like the DR preview.

1. It is fun for the kids on the teams, and most readers enjoy learning about the kids off field.

2. It's called a preview not an in depth scouting report for a reason.

3. Any team information is provided by the coaching staff, no shocker the coverage is a little thin. (and optimistic)

4. It is a lot of information for $.50.

5. My kid looks good in a cowboy hat.

I agree Nut. Norwayne has a lot of very good players on the team. I dont have a son playing but I would love to see them profile the whole team. Most of these boys have been playing together since they were 8 or 9 years old. There is a couple parents of these boys that started Norwaynes Youth football Program when this senior class was in the 6th grade. Those people are outstanding, unselfish people. Many of them coached and are instumental in the success of Norwayne's program. This is the first year that is heavily populated with those boys. This Team has been in the making for many years. I stress team. The Daily Record will be making a mistake if they highlight 1 or 2 players on this team.

It's always during the week of the 1st game, not sure which day they usually did it, but never the week before.

Mansfield News Journal football preview is Tuesday for OCC fans and locals that play teams out that way in the nonleague games.

Daily Record Preview for Football.....released Thursday......Im not liking having to wait ALL week to try and absorb and enjoy the preview prior to Friday night. I wish we could of got a chance to see it by Wednesday...Oh well ...Good things come to those who wait...right?

Triway in the CantonRep? I'm guessing Fairless and Manchester in the CantonRep, at the most. I just hope it's not Todd Porter with the coverage. He burnt his bridges with the PAC a few years back.

They do a preview of every team in the PAC. It isn't big but it is something.

Ahh, I forgot CantonRep was tied with FridayNightOhio.com. They do a nice job covering the PAC schools. I'm looking forward to the preview a little bit!

Can't wait for the Daily Record's preview to come out tomorrow! I'll definitely be stopping by Dravenstott's with $0.50 (or whatever it is) to pick up a copy on my way to work!

ABJ does nothing for Wayne county area teams! A little on Wooster, Orrville, Rittman, Chippewa, that's it. No PAC or WCAL league coverage and no Triway! Definitely don't want to do the work in the area , but they stand at Buehler's and want to give away papers and get subscriptions

I am loving the Daily Record preview. They had some fun with the "Playbook" theme, but they are really diving into the teams, too, showing back-and-forth interviews between reporters and coaches, comments from players about expectations, highlighting 3-4 key players instead of just 1 or 2... I really like the preview.

And I agree with riders1 about ABJ. The Daily Record does a GREAT job of high school sports coverage in all sports.

SEVEN mistakes in the one paragraph about Orrville in the ABJ preview.

They only paid attention to Orrville in week 14 last year, and outside of the Copley game, wont pay any attention to us this year either.

Makes me feel good for cancelling my subscription to that rag years ago.

The Daily Record had Coach Davault's record wrong, but other than that, they did a great job. Neat to see the area teams with new helmet designs this year (Wooster, Norwayne, Northwestern).

Why the DR black and white pictures of some teams?
