I wouldnt worry. I would bet money it just felt awkward when he turned to run after getting hit on the foot. Im thinking just a deep bruise from the HBP. If it is anything worse, I would think he wouldve been out already.

Carlos rockets one off the wall. This young core is looking damn good right now.

Nice to get to Detroits bullpen already in the 4th innings.

3 runs in 14 innings last night.

8 runs in 4 innings today.

Gotta love it.

Save a few of those runs for Verlander...

Wow, I bet Detroits bullpen is loving this. They go 12 innings last night, and a minimum of 5.1 today. I say we just try to get Verlander to 130 pitches by the 7th inning so we have 2 tired arms for tomorrow.

I don't think we get Verlander. That's why the first two were must wins, IMO.

Kipnis is playing awesome right now. Let's hope Ubaldo can keep the lead this time.

Ubaldo didn't give it up last time. We were up 2 with 2 outs in the 9th.

Should be a shutout right now. It's bs that those runs are earned.

I would agree with this. Had to be an error on Santana.

Looked to me like Santana stretched as far as he could just went off the tip of the glove. I DO think his stretch was incorrect, and thus limited his range. But I dont think I can give an error to a ball he cant reach.

That's the thing. He stretched out in front of the bag, instead of the direction of the throw. It limited his range. He went out too soon instead of waiting to see where the throw was. I would have given him an error regardless if the tigers go on to score or not.

Some GMs noted at the deadline: CLE offense could be very good by September, with Fukudome OBP, Kipnis, Chisenhall, Choo returning, etc.

I agree with that. But I dont think you can give an error. Thats like saying a guy needs an error for losing it in the sun, because he didnt put the shades down. Not really, but you get my point.

Just saw that. I hope those GMs are correct.

Still let them score 5 runs. That is what I meant.

I know what you're saying. But I've always felt plays that can be made and aren't shouldn't be hits, especially on a play like that. I mean he didn't have to pick it out the dirt.
