I know that everyone on the Chatter has the correct response, so what would you do in this situation:

You're in the line of a few cars in the left lane of a four lane road. Up ahead it says "Right Lane Ends." You see another car get in the right lane and speed up, to try and get around some of you in the left lane, before the right lane ends. There is a little space between your car and the car in front of you, and you see that this speeder-upper is going to probably try to squeeze in between you, before he either has to slow down or hit the breaks b/c he's out of room in his lane.

What do YOU do?
Let him in if he can make it? (You're changing nothing)
Speed up so he can't get in?
Slow down so he can get in?
Ram him off the road?

At the end of the day my goal is to get from point A to point B safely. If that means opening the space wider so that someone doesn't try an squeeze in between me and another car, I'll do it.

It depends on how close we are to his lane ending. If he waits until the very last minute and tries to squeeze in, then I probably speed up so he doesn't have enough room. If he uses his signal, then I'll let him in.

Also, you said he gets in the right lane, so if he went from the left to the right to try to pass people, I probably don't let him in. He should get in line and wait his fucking turn like everyone else.

Speed up. My car is a beater so I have no problems pinching him out. If I had a nice car and I wasn't sure if this guy would not clip me or something I'd probably let him in.

Moderately speed up to give him less room and as a slight punishment for trying to get somewhere faster...but this isn't going to help any....but if he still tries to get in I'll let him in and cuss a little....then safely let him know that I know he is an idiot.

My goal is safety...but can get ticked off easily...but doesn't last long.

Rubbin' is racin'... :) Actually I tend to let em in because it is more important to arrrive safely than worry about being overly protective of my position on the road.

After visiting China and seeing the incredible traffic/lane changing/merging without anybody getting pissed and getting in road rage incidents, I think our culture in the USA is full of a little too much bravado.

Sometimes I'll cuss and flick her off(of course it's a woman, they suck at driving), but let her in front.

Other times I'll cuss and flick her off and speed right next to her and laugh.
