And earlier in that thread, I said that I don't think Gabbert is going to do much in the league...i'm too lazy to go back that far and post it

Looks like the same stats as the Browns last 8 quarterbacks or so. That's what can happen when you have no line, an average running back, and no receivers. And I'm all for mocking a player's bush behavior...but mimicking a guy who kneels down to pray? Fukk that.Automatik;951415 wrote:So after todays performance who still thinks Tebow gives Denver a better chance to win than Orton?
I mean that was flat out terrible. Shame on Hoge for questioning Tebow's accuracy.
18/39 172 yards, 1 td, 1 int. 56.8 rating.
Maybe these Lion players ought to spend their off season working with people who live in complete destitute...in order to give them a reason to live.
Tebow may be a shid q'back, but he's miles ahead of these slimeballs that want to desecrate someone for showing his faith.
Just like Pryor, I'd like to see Tebow play tight end.

Seems like that would be a first step....then again there are other ways to run a church without income and real estate.

Boomer Esiason is nothing but a hater:

“(Starting Tebow) is a bad move for two reasons,” Esiason said Monday, via CBS New York (listen to the audio here). “One is, I don’t believe that Tim Tebow knows what he’s doing on the football field. … Number two, those hits that are coming his way are coming with authority. Meaning that players are out to get him.”
Esiason, who before the season was critical of Tebow's prospects as an NFL quarterback, said that Tebow Mania may have unwittingly made him a target.
"The mocking by the Detroit Lions and all the talk after the game and all that other stuff leads me to believe that people are after him,” he said.
“In all the years that I’ve covered and played in professional football, I have never seen a team like the Detroit Lions do what they did last week,” Esiason said. “It just means that there’s no respect for Tim Tebow as the quarterback. And they want to make sure that when they play him, they want to show that to the world that Tim Tebow can not play in this league at this position.”

In other words, shut the fuck up with the "they made fun of Timmy" bitching. Not that I expect that to happen, since this site's biggest Tebow fans also seem to be the biggest tards (especially now that Mr. What Does Control Your Own Destiny Mean? has chimed in), but whatever.“I have a love & passion for the game of football,” Tulloch wrote on Twitter Monday morning. “Football is a form of entertainment. Have a sense of humor. I wasn’t mocking GOD!”
This is where the Tebow phenomenon, already over-the-top considering he’s a replacement quarterback on a horrible NFL team, goes to a new level.
And this is where Tebow’s throngs of fans and admirers have to step back and relax. They can’t have it both ways.
If they are overjoyed that football has allowed Tebow to very purposefully and very publicly promote his faith (and it has), then they can’t get up in arms if another player makes fun of his actions in a very purposeful and very public way.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know I am a Tebow fan when I lay My vengeance upon thee.Heretic;953526 wrote:In other words, shut the **** up with the "they made fun of Timmy" bitching. I'd say its a toss up since they both have 1 win when they are the starter as the QB this year. But to be fair, Tebow has had only 2 starts to Orton's 5.Automatik;951415 wrote:So after todays performance who still thinks Tebow gives Denver a better chance to win than Orton?

Tebow is in no way shape or form on the same level as Kyle Orton, hell I think Brady Quinn is much better and that's saying something.

Funny how whenever Albert Pujols crosses himself and points to the sky...just before he crosses home plate...after hitting one out...nobody does any Puholing, eh? Or the same with Astrubal Cabrera, Raffy Perez, nor Luis Valbueno.Heretic;953526 wrote:http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=AlcbY3wVec.C.o9MY8XTkAdDubYF?slug=dw-wetzel_tebow_supporters_lighten_up_103111

They didn't make fun of "Timmy bitching". They made fun of his religious reaction. In a country where the wide majority of people are theistic, I find that a little odd. But since you call yourself Heretic, it all makes sense that you were offended.

You might be right. I think he should switch to tight end myself. But playing on this crappy team makes it hard to know for sure if he's an NFL quarterback. Steve Young was a lot worse than Tebow...for years....when he played for Tampa Bay. Funny how he ended up in Canton isn't it?robj55;953877 wrote:Tebow is in no way shape or form on the same level as Kyle Orton, hell I think Brady Quinn is much better and that's saying something.
