From an acting perspective I would agree. There were some underwhelming Oscar winners and nominees over the last decade. If I am going to spend upwards of 15$, yes, I expect to really, really like the movie. I will watch the other movies like Red Dawn when they come out to HBO/Showtime or when I can watch them for about 2$ on VOD. I like being entertained and will watch movies that arent amazing. But going to the theater for them is usually not gonna happen.
