The Reds are 1-0 when I start threads. Heading out for the day so thought we should get it started. Need to keep building on this success!
Leake (8-6, 4.04 ERA) vs. Bumgarner (6-9, 3.56 ERA)

Nice win last night. Always good to see that clown Wilson fail

I'm not sure why he gets all that attention. People (ESPN) think he is hilarious and he isn't funny at all. He just dresses and presents himself in a weird way

^^ Not a bad lineup. I know some of you guys like Cairo in the 5 hole, but I'd prefer him in the 2-hole.

I don't mind Wilson. But I think he tries way too hard to be funny, but he's really not.

I think Renteria would be better off batting 7th or 8th and having Cairo 2nd and having your choice of Heisey or Bruce 5th.

The thing about Renteria....you can bat him wherever and he's going to go about it like you are supposed to...he's not what he once was...but he knows what he's doing and trying to do.

Looks like Dusty has put two right handers between Votto and Bruce so that a lefty brought in against them would have to face two righties. Alonso has really helped them in pinch hitting - two great ABs so far. He needs to start very sparingly in LF!

So now have a 3 way LF platoon with Heisey/Lewis/Alonso? I think one of those guys, possibly Heisey is going to be dealt soon...thats if they are going to try and stick Alonso in Left and see what he can do. There are rumors out there about the Reds being interested in Michael Bourn...

The Reds are focused on Bourn, tweets ESPN's Buster Olney.

Why not?? Prototypical leadoff hitter and a gold glove defender.

I don't know. To me, we need somebody with some pop for LF.
IF Alonso is serviceable out there in the field, I'd prefer to have him and Heisey take the majority of the PT.

Stubbs would have some pop in left, and it would allow him to hit where he is comfortable. This team has been missing that leadoff hitter.

If they are going after Bourn, then the plan must be to trade Stubbs.

I think I like Stubbs overall than Bourn...they both have great speed, Bourn may hit in the .280s maybe .290s while Stubbs will probably be a .270s guy but he will get a lot more HRs...just depends what you are looking for.

Not gonna disagree with this. However, the price for Bourn won't be cheap. If Jocketty wants a leadoff guy, I'd much rather see them bring up Sappelt up. That would be much cheaperThis team has been missing that leadoff hitter.

I'd be interested to see how Cozart would handle being the leadoff guy. I know that goes against Dusty's conventional wisdom of always leading off with a centerfielder

There are few things in life I love as much as Dusty organizing a lineup that MIGHT cause a matchup problem in the 7th or 8th inning. Don't try to cause matchup problems in inning 1-6....those are irrelevant innings.
