I don't see that, really. I spend a lot of time with large groups of teenagers, all who have phones with all the bells and whistles. They still seem to communicate well with each other face-to-face.
Also, the same could be said of people who are not able to communicate well electronically. Who said one was a better measure of "social aptitude" than another? Provided you can communicate successfully, whether digitally, verbally, or otherwise, I would say you're ability for social interaction is fine.
