Their customer service blows. I had tried to chat with a live rep and they just irritate me. Everything I say they just tell me that it will be forwarded to a higher authority for consideration. Apple has the worst customer service of any big company that I have ever dealt with though.

This.

Do not get me started with time Warner fuckin cable.

One time last year I told one of their reps that I will do whatever it takes to have her fired, and then find her and laugh in her face as she files for unemployment. I then told her I hope one day something really bad happens to her.

I really hate twc customer service.

I had an issue one time with a customer service rep and I basically spelled out a logical argument where If 'A' is true... and if 'A' = 'B' (customer care), then by blatantly disregarding 'A' you are saying you don't care about customer care... and she agreed with me all the way thru this little "equation" and at the very end, I got her to acknowledge the fact that "she did not care about helping customers / i.e., customer care."

I was boiling so rapidly that I thought I was going to have a seizure.

In my instance they turned my cable off for being late on payments (poor college student, whatever..)

So I called them and they said you have to pay $300 to get it turned on.

I said look, I am a college student, I don't have $300 but I can give you $150 RIGHT NOW OVER THE PHONE; and then in FOUR days I get my student loan money and I will pay ANOTHER $300..so in 4 days you will have $450 from me. She wouldn't do it because she needed $300 right then. I was like are you guys fucking retarded?????

would have done that 2 yrs ago. Unfortunately, TWC is the only cable provider that services our apartment complex.

So I just noticed a commercial that said you can get NFL Sunday Ticket for free right now for going to DirecTV. I'm on that!

Read the fine print.

I was going to do it...do the $41 package. But they charge you rental fees for your boxes every month. DirecTV is a gouger...from what I have been shopping around with. The NFL Sunday Ticket could be a seller though...and it almost was for me. Right now, I'm holding off on getting any cable until there's more income for us.

Time Warner already missed one installation fee. Got another planned for the 17th for just RoadRunner. Maybe they'll miss again? Every time I have talked to them, my internet rate has gone down (from $53 to $34 to $30 -- and now no installation fee!).

Ah wow I didn't know that about renting the box. I'm still interested in Sunday Ticket though. It's either that or watch most of the games on the internet again and that sucks.

It is a good deal. The Sunday Ticket is originally a $340+ investment (I believe). That special they are running allows you to get it for "free."

The other thing to keep in mind, DirecTV requires a 2-year commitment. It may not be a problem for you, but for me it could be. I think I could make it work, but I just don't want to risk it. Add the box rental on it, and I am really unsure about doing it.

Dish Network on the other hand, you get 3 boxes free -- at least the one I was looking at was. With DirecTV, you get 2 boxes (that you rent) and they require a $10 additional fee for each box after. I don't NEED 3 tv's with boxes, but I have 3 tv's...might as well put a box on them if the boxes are free right?! There's also no commitment to Dish for 2 years. But, you also cannot get the Sunday Ticket with Dish. Oh, and the Dish package was cheaper minus the Sunday Ticket, of course.

Cool Story Bro...lol. Lets see you didn't pay your bill, they turn it off, then you promise to make a $300.00 payment in 4 days ??? You already failed to make a payment for 2 months and they were supposed to believe that you would call them back in 4 days with another payment ??? Shame on them for not believing you and having a a policy in place for reconnects.

You do know you can get Sunday Ticket through your PS3, if you have one.

I just found that out yesterday. (I always get news like that late)

Yes, I saw that. Unfortunately I am way behind on the game systems so I don't have a PS3.
