After yesterday's loss, the Tribe finds themselves 2 games behind Detroit in the Central.

This series will be a tough one for the fading Tribe, facing Haren and Weaver. They will be lucky to not be in 3rd by wednesday night.

Brooms out. Does anyone see them even scratching out a single run vs Haren or Weaver. I could see Asdrubal or Pronk hitting one out of the yard, but I don't see this lineup stringing 3 or 4 hits together and putting together a rally on those guys. Carmona gets roughed up tonight I'm sure. And if he doesn't, our stellar defense will let him down. It is a shame when you cannot even convince yourself of a single reason your team can win, but I have been wrong before. With all that said...Go Tribe.

I'm at the ballpark tonight. Hoping for at least a run or two from the good guys.

Well, last time we won the division in 2007 we were 1.5 GB of Detroit in July 25th.

Also, Shapiro recently tweeted that the Tribe FO "Feels the urgency" and is "working like crazy to make a deal.".

Maybe Haren will be just god awful tonight...I didn't realize that he has given up 11 earned runs and 19 hits his last 2 starts and hasn't been striking a lot of guys out. Tribe are the perfect team for him to get right against.

We had the lead for an inning. Does that count for anything?

The key for this team is to somehow stay above water until August 22nd. If they can do that they might have a good chance as that's the day they start an 11 game homestand against the Mariners, Royals, and Athletics. However, getting through the Red Sox, Tigers and White Sox of the world will be the issue with getting to that date.

We had season tickets out there when I was a kid, I think some of my melted skin from July 1 o'clock games is still left on the seats.
