Just to look cool, mostly.

Occasionally to unwind after a long week. But with alcoholism running in my family (and profession, for that matter), I try not to drink much at all. I probably average less than a drink a month.

I genuinely enjoy the taste of certain beverages (red wines and bourbons in particular), and I enjoy the relaxation effect that one or two reasonably-sized drinks produce. I detest getting even to the "buzzed" stage, though - the idea of downing a six-pack at one sitting just doesn't have any appeal to me.

Also - at my age, I've seen way too many of my contemporaries get in trouble with excessive drinking - I do not wan tto end up in the same situation.

Not so much a drinker b/c I'm a seriously major light weight. But I love the taste of beer, or sometimes its just nice to unwind and relax with a glass of wine.

I was a functioning alcoholic when I drank. I professed to enjoy the taste, but really drank to get drunk virtually every time. I quit several years ago for this reason. I wished I could have been one of those who enjoyed the taste and the occasional buzz, but this wasn't in the cards for me.

I don't know if my drinking schedule is on that list. I drink about every other weekend. And when I do, I usually consume between 5-10 one night on that weekend.

I like to drink when I'm cleaning house. Makes it a little more fun. I also drink with my friends when we get together to watch Big Brother. But I only drink on days that end in 'y'.

the last 4 are pretty much the same .. the 7 people who say they like to sample 6 of them are lying ... I like to sample ice cream or maybe soda.. If im gonna sample beer its going to be in a Budwieser plant or a Samuel Adams brewery ..get real people dont lie

I have not been drunk since July 10th of 2010. Have not had more than 3 drinks in any given evening since then either.
A week after that event I went some place that I really couldnt drink anyways so that pretty much put a wrench in 6 months of that time. I do get nasty , nasty hangovers so even before that I would pick my times to really get blasted.

Friend who owned a bar always called me a starting pitcher who likes to finish the game. Meaning...I dont drink as often as others, but when I do I try to go the distance and be there all night. I never really understood those who have a few drinks here and there. I like the taste of beer, but I dont drink it with a meal. It isnt my drink of choice when I am hot and thirsty. It may seem stupid, but I dont go to the bar and have a couple of drinks because, well, i dont wanna get one of those cheapo DUI's!

I drink socially to get drunk! I've never drank more than a beer or 2 at a time, when I'm home by myself. I typically get drunk one night every weekend, and both nights a fair amount of time. I don't drink at all Sunday-Thursday.

I drink to sample - trying a lot of different wines and beers is a good, albeit expensive, hobby for me - but also to get a buzz. I'm not one of those "sip and spit" type of drinkers. Sunday through Thursday I'll probably have 2 glasses of wine per night, Friday-Saturday I'll probably have 4-5 drinks throughout the day (unless it's football season ... then Saturdays are more like 12 throughout the day).

I enjoy the taste and I enjoy having fun with buds pounding some brews,. I'd say I have a beer or two least 2 nights during the week and drink more on a Friday or Saturday night.
