I love westerns, too. But I also love alien movies. This movie is like a wet dream for me.
Please let us know when you are seeing it. I don't want you sitting next to me getting your spunk in my popcorn.

I just thought it was so predictable and made for 10 year olds.

In a super hero movie, I like to think the super hero is a "badass" and I didn't even come close to thinking that.

The writing was funny and not too cheesy. They just didn't execute it nearly as well as they could have. It was two hours of setting stuff up for a trilogy.

Also, the 3D sucked. God I hate it, when will the fad end?

Just saw Captain America and agree. B- to a C+. I never read the comic so I don't know his whole story, and I understand there's going to be an Avengers movie, but that whole ending left me confused. Some kid...maybe 8 or 9 said "that ending stunk" on the way out...and most everyone agreed.

I think the unique part about Captain America is that he isn't a badass. He is a perpetual underdog.

Yeah a B- is more realistic. Tommy Lee Jones is fucking hilarious, he saved the movie for me.

Yeah that's true..it probably just wasn't for me, I never really thought I would enjoy it I saw it for 2 reasons: I'm in Jersey and bored as shit, and I read some article calling it the most anticipated movie of the summer so that sucked me in.

I'm sure its enjoyable to others I just really hated it.

That is part of my reason for only thinking Super 8 was alright. It was touted at the must see movie of this summer and it just didn't live up to it for me. I've been hearing mixed reviews on Captain America. Most people that I know who are comic book fans say it's alright to good and most people who just like movies say it's eh to alright.

I think the cast is very good. It is kinda creepy that at the beginning they superimposed the head of the actor who's Captain America on a skinny guy.

They actually didnt. They just changed his real body and made it smaller including his head. I saw an article about it... I'll try to find it

(this is meant to be funny; not a dick)

Can I assume since YOU thought it was "alright" that it was in fact an awful movie..haha

Not even concerned with you guys making jokes about my love of going to the movies today. Comic book movies are rarely good movies. I didn't think it was awful but it obviously wasn't a masterpiece.

I have read two reviews for Cowboys & Aliens and both said it was terrible. :(

I'm not expecting The English Patient, but I don't want it to be Snakes on a Plane.

I expect it will be a decent flick. Nothing spectacular but tons better than a sci fi channel movie on Saturday night.

A lot of movies in front of "cowboys and aliens" on my list but I'll watch it down the road some time.

Just got back from the midnight showing. It was pretty good, probably give it a 8.5/10. A little too out there with the aliens at times, but overall it exceeded my expectations.
There was a sweet preview for a movie called 'Battleship' coming out Spring 2011: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3B3moWiI_J4
