Speaking of Captain America. One of my best friends was at the New York premier yesterday. His friend won some Visa thing and they got to walk the red carpet and meet and get pictures with the cast and all sorts of other cool shit.

As a general rule of thumb, I don't watch movies w/ aliens, so I probably won't watch this one. Also, Captain America looks terrible as well.

Plus a decent cast. I'd guess it will be decent to good and that is on the entertainment level. I don't know how good of an actually movie it will be. Just trying not to confuse you guys that have branded me.
He makes more bad movies than good ones anymore.

He said it was good. He put it in with the original Spiderman and X-Men which I've never seen. Waiting to hear back with how it compares to Iron Man.

Well neither of these movies are probably going to be great films. So don't go see them if you are expecting greatness.

I've heard some good things about Capt America, I think I might check it out this weekend.

I also need to see Transformers 3, mostly for the 3D

This is correct, Saving Private Ryan was his last great flick. War of the Worlds (i.e. Dakota Fanning screaming for 2 hours)?, Indy 4 (a disgrace)?

Most of his new stuff is garbage. I had high hopes for Super 8 and it was just ok. I think True Grit and Catch Me if You Can deserve to be up there in his great flicks category though. Anyway, I'm hoping I get a chance to see Cowboys and Aliens. Always wanted to see a zombie western movie. This will have to suffice.

Didn't know Spielberg was a producer for True Grit. I agree about Super 8. It was ok but nothing special. I expect Cowboys and Aliens and Captain America to both be better than Super 8.

Justin, someone has to tell you what to do. Figured I would take charge in this instance.

He was executive producer for True Grit. Coens co-directed and wrote the script.

Since Saving Private Ryan:

(2001) - Artificial Intelligence.....I loved it.
(2002) - Minority Report......I loved it.
(2003) - Catch Me If You Can......I really loved it. A genuinely entertaining movie.
(2004) - The Terminal.....mehhh. Not my cup of tea.
(2005) - War of the Worlds....I loved it.
(2005) - Munich. never saw it.
(2008) - Indiana Jones 4.....bad. But you know George Lucas made him do this, he couldn't say no.

...his two 2011 movies haven't come out yet. So I guess since he's released one movie as a director it's tough to judge. Producing is a crapshoot since he produces so many.

Not sure what you expected from Super 8. Its not going to win any awards but I thought it was entertaining. Sort of reminded me of the goonies. Not every movie has to win an academy award, not sure why you expected it to be a "great" award winning movie.

Am I being punked? Where is Ashton Kutcher? I finally say a movie is just ok and you have the audacity to jump on me about it? Ha Super 8 was alright but I didn't find it to be anything special. Entertaining at points but I thought the ending sucked.

Oh don't like it when your typical rhetoric is thrown back in your face I see. Just spewing the same garbage that spills out of keyboard anytime I think a movie sucks. I love it when people's comments come back to bite them in the ass.

Say what? I don't think anything is biting me in the ass chief. You see this is what we call opinions. You thought Super 8 was good and I thought it was ok. You are the person who was giving me a hard time when I say I liked a movie. It's not like I contradicted myself in any way. That would be a comment that bites in the ass. Not this but to each their own. It's not even worth discussing anymore. You're ragging on me originally because I go see a lot of movies. I'm sorry that isn't your style. Hitting up the theater is something I like to do. I'm sure you have things you like to do. No?

Is that Independence Day?

If so, maybe I did when I was 9. I haven't seen it since. I am not much into aliens either. I just wish they wouldn't screw with the "western" genre. I like westerns.
