Yeah I thought about going looked into it and realized that it cost way more than I was expecting and so unless I someone fall into a shit ton of money I won't be going. I would love to though.

I'd love to go, but I doubt we can afford to do it. Doesn't mean I won't keep it in my mind in trying to do over the next few months.trep14;1498937 wrote:So anyone trying to go to brazil?

I might get EXTREMELY lucky.
My girlfriends dad wants to go to Machu Picchu and to the Galapagos islands. I was invited. I jokingly said to here we should go to Brazil and watch the USA play in the WC. He goes, "Ill look into an extra week on this trip." I about died just thinking about it.

Nice man! Hopefully you'll get to go. That would be pretty clutch on your part.Laley23;1498987 wrote:I might get EXTREMELY lucky.

Maybe I should try this with my father-in-law he loves to travel and such but I know he's not a soccer/sports fan at all.

So I'm sitting a few chairs away from Michael Bradley right now at the airport. Apparently no one knows who he is. Only 2 people have said anything to him.

It helps that my gf is a Spanish teacher and lived in Argentina for 6 months. Her mom and dad visited her and they took a 5 day trip to Rio. He has always said he wants to go back for a week.Iliketurtles;1498992 wrote:Nice man! Hopefully you'll get to go. That would be pretty clutch on your part.

If USA gets to play a match in Rio, this might be a no brainer lol.

Lol! He has a nasty bruise/scrape on his shin. It looks nasty. And it's wrapped.
What happened with him anyway?

Got hurt during warm-ups, like 30 minutes before the match. Pretty freak injury from what I understand.wildcats20;1499000 wrote:Lol! He has a nasty bruise/scrape on his shin. It looks nasty. And it's wrapped.

The bruising looks like a high ankle sprain, from multiple personal experiences.

With all matches in this ranking period complete, I think the USA will jump to 13th in the FIFA World Rankings.

Im also not sure who we will be sending out there now that we are qualified, but if we win our matches in the next round we could jump even further. Possibly into the top 8 (with a LOT of help).gorocks99;1499041 wrote:They will, just behind Greece.
Im not saying it will happen, I dont even know if its possible. But FIFA has used current rankings as one of the factors in determining seeds/pots for the WC. So it would definitely behoove the USA to try to keep winning in case FIFA uses current rankings again.

In 2010 they used the October 2009 rankings, so I highly doubt we leap into top 8 after just Panama and Jamaica. I mean, in some crazy world it could happen but we'd need to pass Greece, Brazil, Netherlands, Portugal and Croatia (the teams that should be within 100 points ahead of us in the next ranking).Laley23;1499045 wrote:Im also not sure who we will be sending out there now that we are qualified, but if we win our matches in the next round we could jump even further. I was looking at some other teams we could jump. We will have a clearer picture tomorrow when they are released.gorocks99;1499064 wrote:In 2010 they used the October 2009 rankings, so I highly doubt we leap into top 8 after just Panama and Jamaica. But, of the teams I was looking at, none really have a tough schedule (2 games) in qualifying left. I was counting on maybe 2 draws or a loss and draw or something. That wouldve helped, but it doesnt look like that would happen with who they all play.
Portugal for instance was one of the teams, but they play the last placed team in one of their matches.

Was he the one who made the post about how easy it was to "disrupt" a soccer game? That thread was hilarious.Laley23;1498997 wrote:Tell him to man the fuck up. You played a round of golf with a hurt finger.

Classyposter was the one who made a comment about athletes being pussies over injuries and bragged he played a round of golf with an injured finger (or something along those lines) as proof that it isnt that hard lol.
