Anyone hear about beIN Sport taking over soccer TV rights over here? They're a new network that launches August 15th, and they have exclusive La Liga, Serie A, and Ligue 1 rights now for the upcoming season. They also have taken over the English League Cup and Championship.

Unfortunately, they haven't announced what providers will carry them yet, as I don't think they have any deals in place. They also plan on bidding for the EPL rights for 2013-16 when they come up in September. It's a subsidiary of Al Jazeera, so they're backed by a ton of a money. I expect them to capture these rights as well.

If they know, they haven't reported it.

They are going to do an autopsy. I just hope there's no foul play. Tragic incident, doesn't need to be more tragic.

According to the Columbus Dispatch, police were called to a Columbus bar at 12:50 on Sunday morning. Urso was transported from there to a hospital, where the paper reported that he was pronounced dead at 1:50 a.m.

Moura agreed to terms with PSG.

Ligue 1 going to enter relevancy? Definitely helping their case. They'll be "the team" on FIFA13 now, I imagine.

I know its been mentioned here. But with beINSport taking over, essentially all soccer rights (not named EPL) in the USA, I figured it was worth another mention. Sounds as though they are really PUSHING for people to email and call their cable providers. I think they want to be on all of them, but right now cant strike a deal as cable providers are reluctant to sign. I think once the seasons get underway, we will see companies add them, as more complaints will file in.

But just fyi, if you didnt know, you can email or call and request your provider to pick them up. They have Ligue 1, La Liga, Serie A and I think the Bundesliga this year. Plus all SA World Cup Qualifyers and I think the Comnenbol tourney and possible all Concacaf matches (excluding USA, until ESPN rights run out). Id assume they will get EPL at that point to (when ESPN and FSC rights are done).

I think that could be true. I know they have a deal in place with 2 major providers. I just didnt know who. That would make sense though, DirecTV always has the best available sport stuff.

I hope AT&T doesnt miss too many weeks of La Liga action though. Ill be pretty pissed.
