Dusty just proved how smart he is....outsmarted by Jerry Narron. Pitchout baby!

Almost guaranteed! A Miggy GDP would have left Votto on deck.

On the first pitch he makes 2 outs on one swing and takes the team out of the inning. Good move by Dusty as the righty would have eaten up Cozart with the slider.

Remember Dusty's rule, only put the young guys in when there's a good chance they can succeed.

You're right, Cozart is no good, send him back down, ASAP!!

Homer with a failure to maintain focus causing him to walk the P on 4 pitches to put two on for Weeks HR, but the 5th run, the eventual winning run in a one run margin, came after that in the same inning when he failed to bow his neck and not give up another run for a 3 run deficit.

Can't wait to see Jack McKeon school Dusty when the Reds play the Marlins.

I'm not saying that he is no good. He has his negatives too, and I don't think he is going to be the catalyst to get the Reds clicking, and won't materially change the team's performance when he plays. They missed the best chance to see what Cozart could do when both Janish(ankle) and Renteria(back) were hurting. There was no good reason to go a player short for about a week while each one licked there wounds for about a week. Neither are line-up mainstays and neither is Cozart, so it is better to DL them each in turn to not have to play a player short for 2 weeks out of 3, with both of them less than 100% the 3rd week!

Runners 1st and 2nd. Cozart up in 7th. Bunt them over then sac fly scores one. But noooo. Instead. Gidp then ground out. Smh

Dusty's fault.

I said that to my wife ^^^^^^^......they'll walk Hernandez and face a PH with 1 out....then Stubbs, probably still don't score.

Dusty's fault.

Bunting in that situation is not good baseball, especially that late in the game. Even if you score both runners, you are still behind in the score with just two innings left.

Disagree, I think he should've had the bunt on. Score both runs and you're only behind 1-run w/ 2 innings to play, with the pressure now being on a shaky Brewers bullpen. I think the strategy varies against different teams, but against the Brewers, you get the runs expecting to have another couple scoring chances.

When you're down 3, you don't give up outs...no way do you bunt in that situation.

1 at a time...gotta score 1 and then 2 before you can score 3

Don't bunt him it doesn't matter that much....but I hope he was prepped that he was in a spot to hit into the DP and the pitcher was going for that the first part of the at bat at least....first pitch....thank you

Didn't matter....good baseball or not, they lost. Dusty plays bad managing baseball all the time....sometimes it works. Game over...they sucked.
