Well damn, I was going to lay irresponsibly since I missed out of them all over the weekend. Glad I had no internet all weekend as I was gonna place 5k on reds when Cueto starts.

Saw the bottom line saying that. this morning.
Any more news on it? I would think they would hold him back just a little bit longer, maybe after the all star break. Right after it happened he commented on how he was not going to rush back because he had spoken to a few players who did with a similiar injury and it affected them negatively with hurting it more or struggling because they werent totally ready.
If I am Volquez.....I am going up and in, knocking him down, and possibly hitting him. I dont fucking care which, I prefer hitting him. That will ignite the series and the season for this reds team.

I haven't seen anything other than he has been taking ground balls and all that nonsense. If he returns tonight, it will be a month earlier in than expected. If I'm in the FO in St. Louis, he is sitting until after the break. I don't care if he is ready to play or not.

Heard on Colin Cowherd this morning it took 4 exams to even find the hairline fracture and within a week he was curling 70 lb dumbbells.......at the same time pissing off NCF

Volquez will likely do all of those, but none on purpose.thavoice;821691 wrote: If I am Volquez.....I am going up and in, knocking him down, and possibly hitting him. I dont fucking care which, I prefer hitting him. That will ignite the series and the season for this reds team.

Pujols has been cleared by their doctors, why on earth would you keep him out for another week?

I actually used that argument to the coach of another team before. He got all pissy when our pitcher hit his best player and I was like 'dude, it is the 2nd inning, he walked 3 in the first, and so far this inning as walked two and hit a guy. If he was actually trying to hit your player there is no way he woulda been successful'.
He didnt think it was funny.
Prick.
So it made it worthwhile when we came back down by 8 to win it by 7. (We had 7 guys, including 6 starters and pretty much all our pitching, who were late getting back from a football 7 on 7 and I had to pitch guys who hadnt done so in many years)

Pujols hit his first pitch over the CF fence in BP. He's only on the roster and not starting.....Aaron Boone thinks he still is going to start.

With the stunts LaRussa pulls I wouldnt put it past him to start Pujols after the lineups come out, or even pinch hit in the first inning for whomever is playing first and stay in the game.
Just to be a dick. I always gave Larussa the benefit of the doubt utnil the rain game a couple months ago.

LaRussa might be a dick, but he's an intelligent one. No way he would waste Berkman or Jay by making a change after the lineup card is delivered to home. Now, the lineup that is posted in the dugout currently could be changed.

Cannot argue with his success, no doubt about that. I am just stating if any manager in baseball would pull that stunt it would be him. I believe they only become official when they are given to the home plate ump am I correct? So, yeah, it can be changed. The more logical thing would be for him to 'change his mind' at the last second.
But to be honest........what difference would it make in how the reds would approach the game? None. They may pitch Pujols differently then his replacement but even if he comes out last second wont mean a thing as the reds alreayd have their game plan on how to pitch to him

Have the Reds won a game on national tv this year?
I'm thinking 6-3 Cards. Volquez goes 5 or 6, 4 runs.
