Somehow I had no idea what this case was about. A friend asked if I was watching it and I was like what are you talking about? I read the CNN story about the verdict being in and wow!! This seems like an easy verdict of guilty. Sad story all the way around.

I've only heard slightly about this case but I've heard they have no evidence of her doing it although her behavior says otherwise. Is this true?

Except most of the evidence is circumstantial. Tough to give someone death off of that. She would serve life if I was on the jury.

She's a chick who likes to party. There was a complication. Said complication got removed from the equation. People seem to have a problem.

And yes, that is the "I'm going to hell" Cliffs Notes version of the case.

I watched a lot of this in the past week. I really wondered how the jury would convict on murder because there was really very little solid physical evidence. The defense, pretty much sucked though. I know they were trying to create doubt, but they focused so much on the father just being a "bad" guy, so-to-speak, that it really just came off as lame. I guess it came down to, the jury believed much like the general public, that she was a stupid bitch who wanted to party so she must've been the one who killed the kid.

I thought the best they'd do is manslaughter (although, I guess they'd have to buy one of the wild stories the defense came up with in order to do that), but that quick verdict seems to indicate otherwise?

It wasn't just the partying. It was her lies, too, throughout the whole thing.
