You just liked him because Selleck was your man crush.

Interesting list of Reds I forgot about, I was thinking of Austin Kearns, Griffey was just to injured to perform, Kearns was mostly healthy just never lived up to hype.

Wily Mo pena, Felipe Lopez and the aforementioned Kearns as well.

I think Joe Charbeneau could open a beer bottle with his eye socket! That is impressive

STeeler caught fire that year he lead them to the AFC championship game. I vaguely remember...I thought Merrill Hoge was big in that run, but the 80s wasnt the greatest for the steelers.

but then again....steelers franchise had the good 70s and not many great QB before that.
I believe Malone had the longest reception in Steelers history.

As a Browns fan, Don Rogers comes to mind. He was one of the best young safties in football, defensive rookie of the year. The Browns had the best pair of corners in the game at that time. It would have been great to see him at safety on those teams that lost to Denver in the championship games. Unfortunately, he made a stupid decision just a week after Bias made the same decision.

Could also drink beer with a straw through his nose, did his own dental work and fixed a broken nose with a pair of pliers and a few shots of Jack Daniel's whiskey. Also ate cigarettes.

Good call on that one. Rogers was a stud for the short period we got to enjoy him on the field.

That's a good call, made me think of White, the running back we drafted from USC. Talk about lost potential.

White had one good year for the Rams in 1987 (1300 yards).

Yep...he had the longest catch in steelers history.

Unsure if it still stands.

Yeah too bad it wasnt with the Browns. By all account the guy got his life together, sucks that it was too late for the Browns.

Other guys from the Pirates could include a lot of their top draft picks from the pre-Huntington days (with the exception of Andrew McCutchen). Many of them were low-cost, easy-to-sign guys who you feel bad for more than anything because they weren't first round talent (John Van Benchoten, Bryan Bullington, etc.), but Kris Benson was a highly-regarded prospect who never panned out to be more than a mediocre starter.

I remember her saying (I think when he was with the Mets) that if he ever cheated on her, she'd bang the rest of the clubhouse. Classy. I like it.
