Gateway is a top team usually .. We almost played them in Heinz field this year ...I forgot about Alliquippa ..that would be a good matchup for Ursulin or Mooney on some years ..Id like Big Red to play them as well ...Some years they are totally dominate ..They have a pipeline from Pittsburgh city schools ,they get same outstanding talent ... Look at the pro's they have had in the NFL ..Talking about future and already hall of famers .. Alliquippa is comparable to NFL talent as Massillon in history.. Another good western Pa team Id like to see in the valley is West Allegheny ..They are a top team

Centerville v. Hiliard Davidson- This would be a classic matchup of two teams who mirror one another.
Fairfield v. Mentor- If the entire student body showed up for each school they COULD play this one at the shoe, HAHA.
Glenville v. Warren Central (IN)- this matchup actually took place last year. There was so much DI talent on the field it was ridiculous. Likewise:

Gateway is more about speed than anything else. I believe that Big Red would be dominate on the physical side of the game, but Big Red has always had trouble with speedsters and thats why I think it would be a good match-up... Speed vs. Physical Dominance.

Ferry and Rochester would be an EXCELLENT game. Rochester is year in and year out the best small school in western PA. They have a bit of everything just like Ferry and it would all come down to an epic coaching showdown.

I would like to see Creek play Carrollton and West Branch simply because they are both D3 schools that have up and down years like we have had. Playing these two teams could lead to a nice rivalry down the road. Creek have never played West Branch, but is 1-0 all time against Carrollton.

St. C. and Blackhawk would be an excellent match-up. Blackhawk would be playing up to St.C. but they are both on the same talent level and would be a great game.

St.C. and Alliquippa would be one for the money also. St.C. would be playing up to the Quips, but they need a big school test and this would be a good game.

Union Local and Ambridge would be fun to watch. These teams generally go .500 or slightly under, but both teams are almost identical to watch.

EL and Blackhawk would be fun to watch because the schools are generally close... Kinda reminds me of old Midland PA.

Edison and Monaca would be fun because they are both smash-mouth teams... Who doesn't love to watch that?

Bellaire and QV are also very similar and would be a track meet.

Carrolton vs IC should happen that would or could be a good rival game .. They are both in seperate confrances though

No, but North just missed the playoffs a couple of times in the '70's and once in the '80's.

North and Massillon have the same number of state titles in football in the playoff era. Also, I believe that North has more overall state titles (earned not mythical/voted upon) (all sports) than Massillon. The Vikings have 2 boys basketball titles, a boys track title and 5 boys cross country titles.

It has never happen Let_go. Nobody has ever in the history of Ohio playoffs ever beaten Mooney one week in the playoffs and squared off and beat another Parochial powerhouse Ursuline the second week. Campbell might not have had a great run in the mid to late 90's other then 99 and the most part of the 2010's till a few years back. But back in the 89's early 90's everyone feared the powerhouse devils. Wow i cant believe that one coach leaving has destroyed the devils for as long as it did. Glad Bayuk came and rescued us.

Also Campbell memorial Vs Martins Ferry and Indian Creek. As for Big red i would have took that back in any era till 94 and up. and even now. Campbell's on the right track but were not close enough to compete with Big red or Mooney or Ursuline. But we might not have a choice come playoffs with Campbell dropping down to Div 5 with Ursuline in the same region. But They will not back down from any team.

Interesting...I like to see the city schools do well .. I am a big Glenville fan and when we are not playing Buhctel I hope they do well as Col Marion Franklin and Col. Brookhaven .. Good luck to all the city schools from the big cities .. You guys are usually left with limited budgets ,but that doesnt mean you dont have the good talent . You guys have the best talent that the catholic schools cant get
