Man, I think we aren't giving enough credit to the defense and being too hard on Stubbs... If they are in and charging on the bunt it has to be extremely perfect to keep them from having a play, especially with a catcher running. If that's other guys on base they probably don't have a play.

Well they are right. The hat should be worn straight on, and with the bill bent.

Says who?

I'm not a fan of the look, but who are we to say it's right or wrong?

Angel Hernandez must not like Votto. Both his K's looking have been on pitches in the other batters box.

Dusty should have let him get run. Votto needed to get his money's worth after that garbage.

Yeah I agree. Cairo is on the bench as well as Hernandez. We have replacements for 1st base.

Or baker should have at least had words with Hernandez too. He didn't stick up for him at all.

Yeah that's true too. He just got in between them and pushed Joey back to the dugout.

because that is how it is supposed to be worn. Always has been until some famous oddballs thought it looked "cool".

Just like those who wear their pants below their ass. That isnt how you are supposed to wear pants. Do you have the same answer for that one?

Oh i bet dusty is working the umpire. There are diff ways to do it. Ya can go out and yell...or chirp in the umps ear for innings and innings hoping it helps. One way gets ya tossed right away many times on balls and strikes. He did what is right in not letting his best player get run.

You can bet dusty is talking...

I hate how Dusty never gets testy with the umpires...i'm not saying everytime a call goes against us, to go out their raging. But every now and then I can't stand when he just sits there when 99% of people would be out there going nuts. Then whenever he does go out, he just talks to the umpire, doesn't get mad really.

I think managers in general are calmer than they used to be at the major league level. Bobby Cox just retired and he holds the world record in getting tossed but for the most part more and more prefer to 'discuss' a call and not act nuts.

Man, and 20+ years ago, when I was a kid in a rural community, bending the bill was a "young and dumb" thing, as the more elderly farmer-types kept theirs straight. How times change.

In other words, making a big deal out of how someone's cap bill is just might be retarded, as every generation probably does the opposite of the previous one.

Ballplayers have always bent their bills.

Yeah.....20 years ago, and still today, FARMERS didnt bend their bills. I remember as kids making fun of them even back then!
