Rivers giving up a pick 6 would be an early Christmas present.

You directly caused that false start plus this Cassel interception.

great game for the high school players from Joplin to be at. Pregame had a good story of the team playing in Arrowhead and a kid who lost everything, including his parents.

Todd Haley deserves a lot of credit for getting the Chiefs back on track and himself off of the hot seat. Things could have easily completely fallen apart for them.

They gave probably 2 of the 3 worst performances in the NFL this season the first 2 weeks, lost Charles, Moeaki, and Berry, and now are 4-3 and tied for 1st. With Miami and Denver at home the next 2 weeks they legitimately should be sitting at 6-3 a couple of weeks from now.

I agree. The Chiefs have some great talent and I really like Cassel as a qb. Their offensive play calling and personnel decisions just confuse the hell out of me at times, but last year was not a complete fluke with them. Great to see them back in it.

Sounding more & more like Minnesota may lose the Vikings. As someone who went through this, it TOTALLY sucks. Hope they can somehow keep them.

Seriously? Where are you seeing this, and why out of all teams will Minnesota be moving. The following teams have shitty fanbases and should move before minnesota:

Jags
Buccs
Dolphins
Bengals
Cards
Chargers

^ It's looking increasingly unlikely that they'll get a new stadium. No new stadium = team moves.

I know state budgets are tight, and people have no stomach for paying for another stadium (Twins just got a new one), but letting the team go is terribly short sighted if they let it happen.

The money spent to build the stadium is dwarfed (at least IMO) by the long term financial impact of the Vikings leaving. There will be no expansion, as the league is pretty set at 32 right now.

In the past threats to leave by teams weren't as dire as they are now that LA is getting their act together and appears destined to get football again. Moving the franchise there financially would be a cash cow, so owners looking for new stadiums aren't going to rough it with the status quo when the LA money is still out there waiting for someone to grab it.

It was miserable when the Browns left (and in many ways still is!) but at least we knew we were getting another team. Minnesota won't be that lucky, so I hope the city/state governments there think long and hard before deciding to shut down a stadium deal because the Gophers will become the only game in town permanently.

This.

They didn't approve another stadium, the Vikes lease on the Metrodome is up this year and Los Angeles is shopping for a new team. Vikings fans feel the owner will shop the team.

He's all but admitted he would. He said the only way he extends the Metrodome lease is if a new stadium deal is in place. The assumption is if he can't get it, he would be willing to do the same in LA (play in the LA Coliseum so long as they have a deal for a new place) beginning next fall if Minnesota keeps dicking him around

Change the name.

LA doesn't deserve a team though. They failed twice. This isn't the NBA where you can luck out with one star player and have 10+ years of great results. Once the team has a few bad seasons no one will show up in that city. That is how they are there.

I recall when the LA Galaxy got Beckham. The first show match was sold out and celebrities went to the game. Two weeks later no one went.

I agree they should change the name but I think people will still show up for the msot part it won't be like the Miami Heat or anything.

I like soccer but thats just it.. it is soccer. People will care more for an NFL team than a MLS team. But I agree with what your trying to say the stadium will be packed for probably the first 4-6 games then if they suck no one will show up.
