Do you attend a fireworks display?

Where do you go?

What other plans do you have, that you do for that weekend?

We have been going to the Orrville fireworks show the past 4 years or so. Prolly the best around this area. They are on Sunday the 3rd this year.

Then Monday (4th) we will prolly go to a friends house that has a pool, for a cookout, and let the kids swim all day.

Fireworks -- I hate them - I don't like being outside in muggy weather filled with mosquitos, which is how it always is on the 4th. We have a 10 month old, but she is out by 8pm with no exceptions, and she gets really pissed if she is awake past 8pm, so probably nothing.

Boating with my parents Saturday, Cookout with her parents Sunday.

I'm coming home likely 6/27 or 6/28. After being offshore since 6/9, I'll likely get shitty drunk all July 4th weekend.

Wildcats and I are visiting friends in Kentucky that weekend. We're going to the Reds/Indians games on Saturday and Sunday and then will venture back to Columbus on Monday. Hope to see some good fireworks and another Indians sweep.

I don't really have set plans...yet. I have friends coming from Ohio so I'm guessing a 3 day bender will ensue. We're definitely going to Long Beach to check out the sites.

I'm thinking about going to Coney Island for the Nathan's hot dog eating competition. Has anyone ever been? Its quite the haul from where I live, but I'd like to check it out. I hear you have to get there pretty early to get close to the stage.

I'm going to be out of the country over the 4th. Have to celebrate the 4th with a giant stein.

If you actually received any sort of education you would know he was referring to Germany.

Edit: Or if you were cultured and not a redneck.

OOO, so Germany is the only place you can get a stein? My bad.

I wonder how goofy he will look celebrating Independence Day in Germany?

No, but that is where they are known from, and since he said he was going out of the country, and was going to get a stein... hmmmmmm.

Just a bit of advice COA, when you "celebrate" don't be advertising that shit, because Germans already have a little resentment toward Americans.

Watching the fireworks at hickam/pearl harbor. Hope they are good. Nothing will beat the Lancaster, Ohio fireworks. So just hoping they aren't terrible!!

Daytona Firecracker 400 on July 2nd.
15 minute post race fireworks is always the largest display in the SE USA. 10,000 pounds of explosive powder, 11,000 individual explosions, from 15 locations around the track, synced with music. The last 90 seconds in the finale is 2000 pieces.

July 4th is just fireworks from a barge in the ocean by the pier so everybody watches from the beach.

Not me. I need a tetanus booster before I head back to Orrville.

Going to the cabin with some friends. Taking the Jet Skis out and having a cookout by the lake. Will not be watching the fireworks but the rest of them will be.

Womans birthday is the 6th so whatever she wants to do. I'm sure L-Town fireworks and Red White and overrated the 3rd.
