What was to be gained from this? That he's working hard and serious? Why preen for ESPN cameras? If that's the cost of gaining Gruden's audience, then **** it. There are plenty of people out there who know plenty about NFL QB'ing.
If I were Terrelle Pryor--I'm not saying anything or doing anything in public. The apology has been issued. People have your opinions of you and that isn't going to change until you're winning NFL games.
You can tell TP still thinks highly of himself. He wouldn't "blame" people for thinking he'd be an awesome NFL receiver. He called "the Hive" "the thing we do". He admitted he didn't know the words to Carmen Ohio (not that 98% of OSU fans do anyway, but he'll get killed for it).
His axe should be to the grindstone in anonymity. You don't see Peyton Manning doing **** like this. You don't see Tom Brady doing **** like this. Let your actions speak for themselves.
I hope he succeeds. It's just obvious he's been surrounded by leeches and sycophants since a young age (much like LeBron). I'm not sure if he realizes how hard it is to be a QB in the NFL. I guess we'll see though.

Gruden did a great job of selling Pryor's abilities to the point where you could imagine his talents helping several NFL teams. This ESPN format had the potential to be damaging, but I think he really redeemed/presented himself well. It will do nothing but help his stock.
Thinks highly of himself? Well no ****, his confidence is a huge component to his success. You HAVE to believe in your talents to make it in the NFL. I had no problem with his comments.
Didn't know the words to Carmen Ohio? Big deal, NFL teams could give a ****, and their opinion is the only thing that matters at this point.

Aaron Goldhammer has been criticized for his "quick trigger finger" in running callers, his tendency to knock the "Cleveland perspective" of topics, and his outspoken hatred of what he deems to be sterotypical Ohio State Buckeye fans (OSU has a significant following in the Northeast Ohio region). He has even been featured in a regular column by Chris "Hiko" Hutchinsen on TheClevelandFan.com [3] in a feature trying to figure out whom the writer dislikes more.

Did you watch either interview closely?KR1245;819203 wrote:I agree. I would probably add Mallet to that list as well
WTF?During his film review session with former NFL coach Jon Gruden on ESPN, Pryor continued to give ambiguous answers about his past, but he was clear about his altruistic future. No longer will Pryor think of himself; he's now a giver.
"I'm very heartfelt," he said. "I like taking care of people. I like putting people first and me being last. Anytime I see a person on the street, I give them the money I have; I pick 'em up, take 'em to go get food, you know. It gives me enjoyment, you know, just to put a smile on another person's face, it means the world to me."

I hate to say it, but he came off sounding stupid.
I guess that is the education you get at The University of Ohio State.
