Mhs is right. I was very down on Cairo early last year and he surprised us all. 162 game season.

Cairo and Renteria are old. That's where the similarities end. Cairo didnt ever go through a season long slump either. Cairo is also an above average fielder at multiple positions. Renteria is an average defender at his natural position

What does the number in the order have to do with anything? By this logic the 8th spot and 9th spot would be even worse. I guess Dusty should have put in Leake and Arroyo of Renteria got on base and saved Cairo and Hernandez. There is no prime time to tie the game against Mo, when you get a shot you have to take it.

I had a lovely couple (wearing Reds gear) tell me to sit down with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th.

It may have been discussed....but who were those tools, one with a boston hat on, in the diamond seats that FSO was referencing? Then in the 9th some woman brought like a video camero up to the netting/fence.
