Their versatility isn't necessary for them to do their job however. I look at Diebler simply as a prospect and he's got good size (as compared to say a Lee Humphrey type), played high level college basketball, and has elite shooting ability. I don't see anything in his game that would prevent him from performing the role of off the bench spot up shooter, especially on a drive-and-kick style team in which he could get more open shots.

Nice generalization, but far from the truth. So you yourself just said that it's "very possible that Diebler can succeed" yet you are saying I'm out of line by thinking the same thing? Of course I'm not guaranteeing anything...hell you can't even guarantee Kyrie Irving is going to do well at this point. What I am saying is that (again, you missed this the first time I said it so I'll repeat it...SLOWLY) looking at Diebler as a pure 6'6'' guard who is an elite shooter and has experience playing not only 4 years of high level college ball but playing the role of spot up shooter commonly coming off screens and getting a quick release off on his shot, it is far from unreasonable to believe that he can have a role in an NBA rotation in the right situation. Clearly the Portland Trailblazers agree...

I wasn't generalizing nor was I making any specific point..its similar to me and Josh selby. I think still that he will be a.good pro...why? Because I know every aspect of his game and know his positives...but as fans we don't really take into account how he can also fail because its just not something fun thinking about lol who wants to be a fan and simply point out the negatives of everything. I never said u said he couldn't fail, I said u seem so sure he can succeed because you know his positives more so than his negatives. Fair?
