Their versatility isn't necessary for them to do their job however. I look at Diebler simply as a prospect and he's got good size (as compared to say a Lee Humphrey type), played high level college basketball, and has elite shooting ability. I don't see anything in his game that would prevent him from performing the role of off the bench spot up shooter, especially on a drive-and-kick style team in which he could get more open shots.
