Not overly surprising that they upheld it, but interesting that they chose to issue some rhetorical beatdown to Maryann Sumi along the way.

Thank you. It is somewhat encouraging to know that at least a few states, Ohio included, are boldly attempting to bring fiscal sanity to their budgets and halt the raping of the taxpayer. It is long overdue.

Not particularly likely. Most moderates, myself included, support the law.

I tend to see a lot of support for it among moderates here in Ohio as well. Seems like most of the supporters are either left-leaning or union workers themselves.

Many people either know teachers or are related to teachers, so few people are willing to speak out against it. But when we just had a Supreme Court election here, which was essentially a referendum on the law, the conservative justice won and cast the deciding vote in this case. It seems unlikely to me that if those on the left couldn't muster support when feelings were strong, they'll have a tougher time doing it later.

Quaker.....you're going to have to do an awful lot of convincing from the numbers I have seen....

Also...this has been out there for 6 months or so right...If its been out that long...dont you think would be about as educated as they are going to get on it?

No, it has not "been out there for 6 months"..... this organization was just formalized and the website developed; this is just the beginning. When the average Joe who pays 23% toward his insurance realizes that the public sector pays about 7%, I think they will know how to vote on this issue. At long last, the middle class taxpayer has an ally in the governor which will get the tax man off their backs.

maybe the average joe should work harder and negotiate better pay towards his insurance. ;)

So are you saying Bob Taft wasn't a friend of the tax payer

And I was referring to the bill itself.....not the website that Kasich wasted taxpayer money on

I'm not so sure it will be. It passed through the state legislature and then the state SC upheld the law. Going to be hard to convince enough people to overturn it.
