Reds only pitched pitchers in this game with ERAs less than 2, and sure enough, true to form, less than two earned runs for the game, and a one run victory. Pitching and offense had enough fat in them that they could withstand the unearned run from shoddy defense in the first inning!

wonder when the last time that's happened this late in the season where all pitchers had a sub 2 era with at least 3 pitchers

Nice win. I said 6-1 on this road trip..if the Reds can win today, I really should have been right. The Reds played well enough in SF that they really should have taken 3 out of 4. But oh well. With a win today, a 5-2 WC trip is huge.

BP doesn't usually run that hard on potential DP grounders. I guess he saw an opportunity to beat one out, and he is rewarded by an opportunity to score a run by running hard again.
