Way to look like an ass because those aren't the pitches we were talking about. I was talking about the strike 1 or 2 call on Grady where it was clearly outside. And who blamed the ump? I think we all said the Tribe sucks.

It's funny that you wait until the Tigers are .5 gb before popping out of the woodwork though, GTFO.

Same with the "Sox" fan.

Yah I can't believe they're so scared of the Indians they have to jump on them at the first sign of struggle.

I blame this on myself. We haven't been the same since I received my Perez "Rage" shirt. We played very well in the month between when I placed the order and received it. I may burn the shirt with some eye of newt in a giant cauldron. We need some witch doctor shit to right this ship.

How many of these so called Indian hitters would be starting on other MLB teams?

Maybe 3? And none would be hitting cleanup!

Today's game reminds me of the Ernie Harwell radio calls . " and he stood there like a house by the side of the and watched that one go by" 11 strikeouts, 4 swinging and 7 watched them go by.
Brantley was called out on a pitch that was outside. If you think otherwise, then make an eye appointment ASAP.

Same with the "Sox" fan.
I was on the series thread a month ago for Sox/ Indian series a few weeks back so you can STFU.

You CLEARLY weren't watching. "Those pitches" were not being called the same for both teams. Granderson has a pitch called a ball that was shown by pitch tracker to be a strike. (should have been strike 3.) The next pitch he hits for a HR. Brantley has the same pitch called for strike 3. Sizemore has strike 2 called on a pitch that was outside by a half a foot. He was inconsistant all day long. A terrible umpire, period. Take the blinders off next time you watch.

A regular Reds thread poster, mhs_9506 has harped for an electronic strike zone machine. I think he's right. The home plate ump today was wearing pinstripes.

I don't know if I'm ready to make MLB robotic, but something has to be done when you see shit like today. I don't know....maybe it is a good idea.

he's been a troll for some time now but he does have a point on this one. the talent in the lineup falls off a cliff after choo and it makes it even harder when the players with actual talent (brantley, acab, sizemore, santana, choo) struggle because you're not going to get anything out of 6-9. the bottom portion of the order's hot start was really the true reason for the indians hot start. now that they've realized that they aren't good at baseball, the indians haven't found their production replacements

I don't think a lot of you understand the difference between winning ang losing at this level is sometimes just one or two players getting clutch hits at the right time.

Dazed is exactly right when he talks about production 6 thru 9 is no longer there as it was at the beginning of the season. The reason: Michael Brantley is no longer there.
The injury to Sizemore caused them to move him up.
Choo was struggling early...and the injury to Hafner makes it even more likely for pitcher to pitch around him.
La Porta was hitting well early, but the scouts have seen him and are now exploiting his weaknesses. Inexperience here...he needs to adjust.

Injuries to Hafner, Sizemore, inexperience by some players and clutch at the throat instead of clutch at the plate is causing the current Tribe slide...which is not necessarily the end of the season. How they react and respond to it will show their character as a team and the manager's skills. This team showed it is capable of of winning 30 of 50 games. They can return to that form. Another key is the front office and their willingness to make a move to bolster a team weakness.
In short...the season for the Tribe is not over...it is just beginning.
And it may be a VERY interesting next couple of months.

Note to the Twins fan who comes on here and has the audacity to talk smack about the Tribe while his team is wallowing in the cellar: There is a real reason the Twinkies suck this year....and he plays first base. The guy you count on to drive in runs has a problem. See Kirby Puckett. He is a great player and I hope he overcomes it.

The only thing we have going for us is that our division absolutely sucks. It is filled with teams that will just get pounded in the first round of the playoffs. #glasshalffull

Instead of the all star game, they just need to make it the Yankees versus the NL all stars. That's all the Yankees are; underachiing all stars.

Announcers chiming in about how much Yankees players complain. Teixeira isn't what I would consider a bitcher.

Announcers only took to the bottom of the 2nd to realize that C.B. Bucknor is the most inconsistent/worst umpire in baseball.
