Stopped by a Rax in bellefontaine on Sunday. Used to be one locally and figured what the heck.

WOW.

EXPENSIVE.

A JR Rax sandwich....that has barely any meet on it....was two bucks. A deluxe sandwich was getting up towards north of 6 bucks.

It was amazingly expensive. We didnt wanna just drive away so we got a jr rax and a sloppy joe and it was four plus bucks and then took kids to mcdonalds.

I forget why Rax went the way of the dodo bird ....was it their prices?

Saw the title and thought Hooters had changed their name. Have never eaten at a RAX.

They were a lot like Arbys. I used to love Rax and was sad when they all (most?) closed.

Hoosters....Racks.....snack trays.....Nay-Nays.....fun bags....sweater monkeys....emersons....ta-ta's.....all valid names Hooters could change to.

yeah....the cheapeast sandwichs were two bucks....a jr roast beef and a sloppy joe so got one of them. Sloppy joe had more meat and was better than the Jr RB....that had barely any roast beef.

I haven't been to Rax in at least 15 years. I was never a big fan. When I go to Arby's I get chicken...no roast beef for me.

Real roast beef costs money. The frankenheiffer Arby's uses barely tastes like old newspapers.

You get what you pay for.

I remember this from about 1979 or so (I think)

Some guy asked me if Santa Clause could live forever......

I said yes, because he is a zombie and could live of young childrens brains.

I concur with just about everyone. The food is great (second the comment on the BBC) but it is somewhat expensive. There is still a RAX on the south end of Parkersburg WV. If I'm in town, I sometimes swing by there.

There's still quite a few just in Ohio - and they even plan for Circleville.

had no clue they were still around, thought the whole company went under. Arby's juniors are $1.00, guess that shows why RAX couldn't compete.

Cheapskate... You couldn't even provide the kids with a taste of classic roast beef harmony. McD's has shit on Rax, same as Arby's. Rax was the absolute shit and I would pay 20 bucks a samich right now if they were close... You parental proverbial cock block...
