I am not that old, but during the mid 90's I sure as hell don't recall many baseball players taking "scheduled" days off. Such an overrated concept imo. If you are not a pitcher, you don't need that much rest.

Not to go too old school on you but there's a reason that the "save" is a stat that hasn't been around forever. When I was a kid back in the 70's it wasn't uncommon for pitchers to have 20-30 complete games, win or lose. Today you're lucky to see a pitcher with 10. Too many "specialists" with the setup guy, the middle reliever, the lefty/lefty, righty/righty matchups and the closer. Of course they make a shitload more than those guys in the 70's so they try to protect their arms quire a bit more.

I want to see Cord Phelps up here NOW. He can play third or second. I'm just tired of watching OCab play.

Had something going, but a Choo DP kills any kind of rally. At least we got 1 run I guess.

He doesn't really play third but definitely 2nd, SS and DH until Pronk comes back.

2-1 now in the 6th

So frustrating watching Choo just flail at anything. He has always been a patient hitter, but he went up to the plate and swung at two terrible pitches. 1st 2 reach and we only get 1. I almost guarantee Texas comes back and gets it back.

The offense needs another bat. Dolan has a great thing going here and a loaded farm system. Put together a package and get a legit bat here.

I'm a prophet. Texas 1st & 3rd with Hamilton about to face Sipp.

Texas gets just 1 and with the way the Tribe offense is playing, it may be game. Wouldn't be surprised to see Hamilton go deep though.

I'm such a Debbie downer right now. :(

Hoops....not excusing Choo here at all. But when the clean up hitter is hitting 220, then your 3 hole hitter will never see a fat pitch. Santana started to relax after being dropped in the line up. And once again, Acta fucks up and puts him in the clean up spot.

As I type, Masterson gives up a key hit down the line....and Acta has done it a fuckin again.

This inning....Masterson threw 6 of his first 7 pitches nowhere near the plate. His pitch count was at 99...and Acta wants to wait before he puts in Sipp...of 1.3 ERA fame.

The more I watch the tribe, the sicker I get with this manager.

Footwedge, it's not like the Tribe has a legit 4 hitter. Santana may be batting .230, but he has a great OBP and is 3rd in the AL in walks.

Acta can't perform miracles. He's got two players who are essential to the offense that are made of glass. We need to make a trade for a legit bat. Doesn't even have to be a power bat.

Tribe pitching starting to give up big innings. If a team is in a funk, seems like the Tribe is now the cure.

Hoops- I'm not worried....yet. This is their only bad stretch of baseball so far. Ill give em one. But I do 100% agree this offensive needs another bat. Call up Man Ram..he can do his 60 games and get ready for the stretch run. In the meantime, I'm ready to see what a youngster can do up here. I know arbitration clocks are a big thing for small markets teams, but ask the Giants if they regret starting Buster Posey's early. If a guy is ready...he is ready.

Manny Ramirez.

By call up..I didn't mean call up from the minors. I meant call up his agent and see if he wants another shot at a ring in Cleveland. Is it only 60 games, right? For some reason I'm starting to think its 100.

Texas is a much better team than the Tribe, but I was hoping they could some how get a split this series....not looking good with Fausto going tomorrow.

Fausto will go 8 strong allowing less than 3. These are the games he prospers in. Lol

Texas owns us. They are a good team to be sure, but they haven't been that great this year. Hamilton was out though. I hate playing these assholes.

It's his 2nd offense so it's 100. Which means pretty much the entire year at this point. He's done.

I'd love to see the Tribe go after Wrght or Reyes.

Ahh yah that was the only person I could think of but I thought you meant call up from the minors. I'm thinking he's mentally checked out plus the 100 suspension would mean he's not back until the end of August when, hopefully, we have everyone healthy.
