Grady should have bunted the two runners over. I know he's been on a double streak, but he's still a K waiting to happen. You HAVE to get the two runners over. And Duncan always seems to hit a long foul ball.
Oh well, got 3 more games. Gotta win two of them.
And why did we PH Duncan for Buck?

I'm now convinced that Endy Chavez is the best player in the game.

If this one goes in the "L" column, Acta screwed the pooch in a) leaving CC out there to long and b) not having "Sir Whiff-Alot" Sizemore sacrifice the runners over.

They had a lefty on the mound.

Because Buck, a lefty, didn't have a chance vs that fossil. Rather have Duncan vs a righty.
That bunt by Chavez is as good as it gets. Didn't telegraph it and was placed perfectly. Take notes, kids.

Where's Ben Broussard when you need him? Didn't he crush lefties? I know he batted something insane against one hand and terrible against the other.

What would it take for us to turn a double play this inning?

LoL! 2 thedave references in one day. Anytime thedave gets brought up, you know that anything that can go wrong will go wrong in the game that day.

Are you fucking serious. Perez has the eye hand coordination of a retarded Cuban.

It was a great play and throw by LaPorta. I've seen kids with down syndrome make that play look easier than Perez did.

That run hurt. Perez was completely lost running over to cover.

I hate playing these guys. They are the peskiest damn lineup. Nobody in the lineup ever seems to have a bad at bat. They spoil your best pitches and they hit mistakes hard. No easy outs.

Just need 2 out of the next 3. Our pitching had been giving up some high run totals over the last week or so though. Gotta settle that down.
Detroit will now be 4.5 back. Good news is, Hafner is reported to being close to swinging a bat again. Maybe he can stay healthy for 3 weeks next time he's back.
