I don't think there's anyone on the Hill that I would rejoice in seeing bite the dust than this smarmy little dooshbag.

Sure sounds to me like Weiner got caught with his pants down (or is it up?). When are these idiots going to learn that concise, honest responses to scandalous behavior are the only way to go? His backpedaling and non-denial-denials sure make him look guilty in my eyes.

I guess he now joins all of those other idiots who were caught in a compromising position.

Why hasn't the FBI been called to investigate a congressmans computer being hacked? If it was hacked then that person needs to be prosecuted, end of discussion! But if it was Weiners wiener in that picture, well, there goes his career.

Mark Foley was the poster child for this type of behavior in 2006. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Foley_congressional_page_incident

Since the scandal broke the last week or so of the campaign, many have opined that his texting shenanigans led to the D's overtaking Congress. Nancy proclaimed she would drain the swamp of such people should she be elected speaker after the Foley incident. As we all know, it was never drained, new species emerged, and now Weiner has joined his ilk in the murky swamp. Where is the outrage? Where are the calls for his head? What's Nancy think about this? Has the FBI started their investigation? crickets from the Left.

Weiner, 46, is married to Huma Abedin, an aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
He's married to the woman who was rumored to be Hillary's lesbian lover.

I also hear Barney Frank is demanding a full congressional inquiry into weiner-gate. He has volunteered to head the committee.

People get Twitter hacked a lot. Has there been anything that even comes remotely close to proving it's him?

It came from his account. If he wants to claim he was hacked, that's on him to prove. In fact...if he was hacked, he'd already have the the proof out there.

Well there was a blog (per the John Stewart video) that said that the exif data on the photo didn't match the camera it claimed to be from or something like that.

And when did we turn into "guilty until proven innocent"?

I don't know whether he sent it or not, but his reaction thus far makes it VERY obvious even if he didn't he has stuff on his account/computer he doesn't want out. That's not "guilty until proven innocent", that's a common sense logical reaction to his weird behavior - if someone did this to me I'd want the guy caught, mainly because I don't have anything to hide in my twitter account - which I never use.

It's nearly impossible to have anything to hide in a twitter account as pretty much everything about them is publicly viewable.

If that was the case, his office would be pushing that info faster than shit through a goose. The fact that they're not pretty much brands it as dubious.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110602/ap_on_go_co/us_congressman_twitter_photos

I think this sums it up quite nicely:
Weiner has hired an attorney and a private firm to investigate. But Twitter's policy states it will not provide information about postings without a subpoena, court order or other legal documents, raising questions about why law enforcement wasn't investigating a possible cybercrime against a member of Congress.

Kimberly Schneider, a spokeswoman for the Capitol Police, said Thursday the department was not probing the incident, because "we have not been asked to investigate."

By hiring a private firm, Weiner controls the release of information about the investigation.
If he was hacked, the Capitol Police would be investigating. Period.

Exactly. Why would they investigate. Its not a crime for one adult to send a picture of their wiener concealed behind a pair of briefs to another adult.

It would not surprise me if people who have been following these events come to the conclusion that Weiner is a dick.

To see if his account was hacked.

Apparently they don't suspect it was hacked or they would investigate. That is my point.

Compromising position? That's one way of describing it! lol

More like he has volunteered to give head to the committee. ;)

He is like Nicholson character in A few good men.

BTW, the Barney Frank comment is a good one. That queer wants to see it for himself.

I guess that highlighted comment excuses you from any future jury duty, doesn't it? I don't know anyone with this power of determining the truth from listening and watching. You should take your talents on the road and make some serious jack with it.
