I posted yesterday. Gene Smith will be gone within a year and even E. Gordon Gee will retire within 2 years.

When Gene Smith resigns, that's when we find out that he was indeed aware of not only tattoogate, but these other infractions as well...Jim Tressel, even though he did lie and signed the disclosure document (under duress), will come out the hero, looked upon as having fallen on the sword for the entire athletic department.

That's ridiculous and I really hope you don't believe that.

To be honest, it was posted tongue in cheek, but it makes a helluva lot more sense than some of the nonsense I've read on some other threads--and ironically enough, you've been spearheading some of these nonsensical posts.

There is a lot of lying and backtracking going on, I'll tell you that. I don't know why anybody tries to lie when there is email evidence saying otherwise haha. You cant get away with that in this day and age

What he posted isn't far from what a few posters actually believe (ytownfootball comes to mind)

He got caught in some fibs regarding the car dealership stuff. Said he hadn't really talked to that salesman, but the salesman claims to have documents and phone records that say otherwise.

Again nothing new, but you know how it goes once the media starts honing in on individuals. The link I clicked said something like, "Attention turns to President and AD at Ohio State".

Ah yes, once again let's find a way to make Tressel something he isn't. How much more proof you need that the man was and is a fraud?

His last year at YTown his QB was under investiagation and faced punishment for very similar violations. Ytown, Clarrett, T. Smith and Pryor are only four major idiots we know about, but take it to the bank your boy Tressel has cattered to many recruits. Not personally, but has in place a "support system" to lure recruits to tOSU. This support system is being exposed, tats, cars and money changing hands. tressle was aware of all of this for many years. He used it as a recruiting tool. Certain players would take certain recruits around and "show them the ropes". In other words show them how they will be taken care of tOSU.

Tressel will NOT ever be made out like a hero at OSU, his true reputation is coming to light as we speak. His vest was only an image he wanted to sell to the public as behind closed doors he ran a mafia type program.

CC, first of all, after I posted this I was going to wait a while and later post "and it was all a dream", but the reactions on here were too funny, so I let it ride. And, for the record, Tressel WILL be welcomed back with open arms, and WILL be a legend at THE Ohio State University--and that ain't no dream!!!

Audit of compliance department warned Ohio State of need to raise its guard

Now, OSU President E. Gordon Gee says university officials are "taking a look at our failures" in the compliance department. Gee said he wants Ohio State to set the standard for how a compliance department should operate.

At least nine players had been issued traffic citations in Franklin County while driving vehicles with dealer license plates. OSU compliance officials said the majority of those players purchased used cars and were given a dealer license plate while waiting for the new registrations. Archie said "you would have to ask the dealers" as to why the players' cars had hard license plates as opposed to the cardboard temporary tags that typically are issued.
Interesting.

Archie may be gone soon as more of a symbolic move than anything.

As for Smith, I brought this up in another thread. Smith gets a little leeway since he's one of the few African-American athletic directors in the country. There will be reluctance to fire him...yea I said it.

Not only that, he's a big whig in the NCAA and I'm sure his pals there are going to look out for him if they can.

how can you take an article that's written by an alleged "sports reporter" seriously when he can't even spell the name correctly of one of the subjects he's slamming? what a joke
Now that the long overdue resignation of Jim Tressel as football coach at Ohio State University has taken place, more heads must roll.

It can start with, in no particular order, Terrell Pryor, Gene Smith and Gordon Gee.

To the OP. WTF does Archie have to do with this? Unless the $3000 I sent in for my lifetime membership went to a tattoo fund, Im not sure what Archie has to worry about.
