Today SI has an article complaining about how the last several coaches at OSU have been forced out. So first they don't like Tressel because he cheats and now they complain because he was forced out? What a bunch of douche bags.

That article is completely ridiculous.

I agree. Realistically how often do coaches leave on their own terms at ANY college football program?

I emailed Rosenberg this

"If OSU is the graveyard of coaches, Michigan must be the Auschwitz of coaches, amirite?"

Too far?

Nah. However, I'd say the concentration camp analogy works better when talking about UM's defense than its coaching staff of late. :)

Right, but from on OSU grad? Damn! Though he was in journalism, so he probably hated the athletes. :)

Timely opinion piece that aligns itself with what most people believe....not all that shocking.

There was a day when Notre Dame and Michigan would be found on that list.

I honestly expect SI to be calling Pryor offering him money to talk to them, and knowing Pryor, he'll totally do it. I personally hope he does, I won't believe a word he said, but at least it'll give the haters something to talk about rather than their own mediocre team.

SI doesn't pay any of their sources.

I just received this email from a friend of mine down in Cbus--anyone here have an account that can confirm/refute this?
By the way, I've heard multiple times now that SI is still in town working on a story about a major drug ring that exists among the players. I'm not a member but apparently Bucknuts is on the story.

Bucknuts running with a story is like a child running with scissors, it can't end well. They're quite the collection of idiots.

At this point nothing surprises me. But it wouldn't surprise me at most schools. If you dig hard enough, you'll find what you want. That is the unfortunate thing about being in OSU's position. All the media outlets want to get the big story. The see smoke so they go after the fire, and they won't stop until they find it or find that there is nothing at all.

Drug trafficking is the whole reason the Tattoo parlor was being investigated in the first place. It will definitely come out that memoribilia was being "traded" for alot more than just some $100 tattoos.

That's the thing undone get. People are so quick to dismiss that drugs were more heavily involved at the tattoo parlor. Rife was certainly profiting off of them if he's willing to just give them cars. Some people on here think it's ludicrous to believe that drugs were involved. And it's not a story if it's just one guy on the team selling drugs. It's an issue if there are several involved, which shouldn't be easily dismissed.
