I heard all the same kind of shit when Clarett was mouthing off 9 years ago, and his accusations were followed by those of several ex-players who had axes to grind or had become criminals. In the end, NOTHING was found despite two NCAA investigations.

I realize that's then and this is now, but I'm seeing much the same kind of unsubstantiated crap being thrown out there, and players being linked to stuff without one shred of real proof. Thank God the NCAA doesn't judge on hearsay and has a bit higher standard than what's allowed to be published without corroboration in this country.
yea there is so little proof that tressel got fired.

That was my point. I feel like there's something else that we don't know about. Or else Tressel would still be the coach.

Kind of weird to force him to resign based on Tattoogate and unsubstantiated rumors.

If they can prove that the players were trading their stuff for drugs, that is criminal. I wonder if the theft of university equipment to trade or sell is considered a crime? If players were paid money from a company for a job that they never had to show up for then you will be involving the IRS, they just love to come in and audit the books of companies involved in bad behavior and they always find something wrong, then the deal making begins and more people are implicated in other things not yet released.

Once again, he was fired over tatgate + lying + car investigation. Wexner pulled his support (aka the chairman of the board) on Friday and they asked Tressel to resign.

So they are going to prove that they traded for drugs that are smoked up? And an audit isn't criminal. It's criminal when you refuse to pay them

Theft, drugs, cars, tats? Are we discussing the Miami Hurricanes? No this is tOSU Buckeye football program. Typical college program, win games and look the other while your program is becoming a crack infested thug cartell.

What Wexner wants, Wexner gets.

First off, nothing these players have done has been proved to be illegal in the eyes of the law, just the NCAA bylaws. Big difference. Allegations are just that, allegations. SMH

Well word is that the board already wanted him out over his lying and Wexner was the one keeping him around and the car investigation was the final straw for him and he basically said "you guys do what you want

Further proof that what Wexner wants he gets. Tressel was kept until Wexner pulled his support. Wexner runs Columbus.

No one person "runs Columbus", but a relatively small number of people have substantial influence. Big people make the big decisions.

I never said Wexner solely runs Columbus, that doesn't change the fact that he does run Columbus.

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but another thing this article did was make a lot of coaches and AD's extremely nervous--if the NCAA is going after OSU this aggressively, then every other program in the country better start cleaning their hard drives and getting their paper shredders warmed up--Big Brother may be coming after YOU next!!!

It's just a video of cooper saying basically that this is the compliance dept's fault and not JT's.
