Lol, death penalty?? Osu is nowhere near the death penalty. Don't try to act like they are.
Florida has had like 30+ arrests in the last few years and nobody even mentions it. Kids sell their own items and people talk death penalty. Gtfo

Can't believe I'm going to (even remotely) defend Florida, but here goes...
Arrests have nothing to do with NCAA infractions. You can have 1,000 arrests on criminal charges and unless one of those happens to also break NCAA regs, the NCAA won't give a crap.
I think the "death penalty" talk from some on here (and in the media) is wishful hating at work. I've seen nothing that's been PROVEN so far that even comes close to loss of control (or failure to monitor) let alone the death penalty. Lots of innuendo from reporters and some weak sources, but no proof.
The most serious NCAA infraction remains Tressel's lie regarding the compliance forms he signed. Other than that, I can see some stuff being levied against Pryor (now gone) individually, but nothing much more so far as the team/school is concerned.
Not saying it can't happen...but I don't see it at this point.

1. They qualify. They will be considered a "repeat offender". That is exactly why the death penalty was created. It is a fact. Didn't say they were going to get it, other than joking (please see the post to which I responded...it's quoted), but it is factually accurate to say they qualify.
2. As Writer explained, arrests have nothing to do with the death penalty. At all.

The point was, the media is blowing this up. Yet arrests are happening like crazy and don't get talked about. What's worse, selling things or getting arrested??
I dont doubt that the NCAA doesn't care about arrests. Because as long as they are making money off the players, they don't care what they are doing in the streets.

Whether they "qualify" or not, they won't come close to the death penalty. It's questionable whether repeat offender will even be a consideration.

Its still only "One Lie" as far as any provable & punishable violations go. Does anyone really think a coach with Tress' record would have been let go for what he did if he coached in the SEC or PAC12? No F'n way! The car thing has been proved to be a big zero nothing. The selling of memorabilia has been decided with the 5 game suspensions. The only thing still lingering are the possible drug implications when the FBI's indictments on the Tattoo Parlor Owner finally come down.

given the browns' recent successes with QB's (or lack thereof) i'd say their interest in him solidifies him as a future non factor in the NFL.

The browns arent under the same management as they were with couch, quinn, etc. They have a guy who has won a superbowl, been to another.. Oh yea.. He also found brett favre.
