well, LJ, I can't argue with that...anyway, he's gone, and it's time for the Braxton Miller Era to begin

I've always been one to support Pryor, but I've got mixed feelings about him leaving. Part of me is greedy wanting him to stay because of his talent, but the other part understands that he had to go. I still feel bad for him, I cannot think of another player who has taken more scrutiny at the collegiate level than him. In the end, it is the best thing for both sides. I'm sort of curious if any other of the 5 who stayed will follow? I think the reason most of them did is because of the promise to Tressel, but what does that matter since he is gone now?
Good luck to Pryor in whatever he does next, but there was Ohio State football before him, and there will be Ohio State after him. GO BUCKS!

This. He was the QB. That is a position of leadership. Like it or not, thats the reality of the situation. Yes, others were involved, no question. But Pryor had the name and the position. They were going to follow. I don't give a shit about his record or his bowl victories. I am an ALUM and have a passion for the university I wen to. Pryor has stained a great place with great tradition. He pissed away things that many people/former players find invaluable! The BAD light he has shed on OSU nausiates me. And yes, the program is currently in shambles. Get over the denial stage and admit the obvious. And it could get worse before it gets better.

And when he plays at the next level, he will be catching footballs and not throwing them. And you are too stupid to understand that.Pick6;793508 wrote:I've always been one to support Pryor, but I've got mixed feelings about him leaving. He said he did this "in the best interest of his teammates". Doesn't that make it a classy and selfless move?

if it was only the tattoo gate incident, the players would have served their suspensions and that would be that. The big thing is Tressel lying to the NCAA. Tressel is more to blame than anybody for the current state of the program.centralbucksfan;793552 wrote:This. He was the QB. That is a position of leadership. Lol get out of the 70s man..."stained a great place with great tradition" who gives a FUCK?! He broke some rules, OSU will pay for it. The program isn't in shackles, they're gonna take some penalties and they'll continue to reload year in and year out.

OK, we'll see.
And I agree, Tressel is certainly the one to blame. As he did with MoC, Troy Smith and now Pryor...instead of using the star players to set an example, he gave them free rain to do what they wanted and turned a blind eye to what they were doing. No question, Tressel is the bullseye, and rightfully so. But Pryor and others took advantage of it as well. There are over 100 other players on the team..and MOST have chosen the right path. Pryor and a few others, did not. Had they not made their poor choices, they would not have put Tressel in a position to do what he did. The blame goes around from coach to the players.
