You think it's unreasonable to expect nine wins? They were a Dayne Crist and proper officiating away from 11-2 last season! Expecting one more win from a team that returns nearly everyone, has momentum, and has a great coach I think is fair.

I know anything can happen. Notre Dame doesn't play many slouches this season. They could lose to Holtz's South Florida. Going into Michigan Stadium (at night! ) is always tough. Dantonio's Michigan State will be formidable. Away games at Pittsburgh (great RB, solid offensive coach) and Purdue aren't guarantees. Well, Purdue should be. Air Force went 9-4 last season, beating Georgia Tech and almost being Oklahoma and Utah. They're tough men. Then there's USC. Then there's fucking Navy. Wake Forest and Maryland shouldn't be tough, but they're away games. Boston College has a good defense, and late season weather could hurt the Irish offense. Then, there's the reigning Orange Bowl champions with the 2012 NFL #1 Draft pick, Stanford.

I can see scenarios for Notre Dame losing literally every game. Big fucking whoop.
