Nope..9 wins would be worst case scenario for Ohio State....9 wins for ND would be great for them and maybe asking for a bit too much.

Ohio State was preseason #1 in 2006. Notre Dame was in top 3 or so though.

Holy shit you're right. How the hell was Ohio State #1 in 2006? They had to replace the entire defense after 2005, no?

You're not very smart are you? Ohio State has more BCS bowl victories than Notre Dame has in its long illustrious history. In fact, Notre Dame doesn't have any. :eek: Also, I've never understood why past successes/failures mean anything going into the future. It absolutely boggles my mind.

Here's the bet I'd be down with:

If Notre Dame has a better record (determined by winning percentage) than Ohio State (after the bowl games), you must use this simple Notre Dame avatar (or a similar one should this pic not exist in January):



And this as your signature, with the future records taking the place of the blanks:

Notre Dame: __-__
Ohio State: __-__

Should the wins be even, the bet is void. The new avatars and signatures will remain in place until the later spring game is over.

You're not very smart are you? I didn't say OSU has more BCS bowl wins than ND has BCS bowl wins in the last 20 years...I said OSU has more BCS bowl wins than ND has bowl wins period in the last 20 years.

And i'll get to your wager part of the post after my (last) class (of my college career) which I am extremely late for.

Yeah, they had to replace all 3 linebackers as well as some other defensive starters. Definitely wasn't the same defense as 05 with giving up 39 to Michigan and 41 to Florida. They were #1 because of Troy Smith, Ted Ginn, and because of how strongly they ended 2005.

And maybe I really am retarded...because that class has been cancelled since day 1 of the class (prof is at a conference in Canada), and I just now noticed as I checked the syllabus to see what we were doing today. Fuck, I should be sleeping right now.

As for your bet...yeah I'll take that. I have no personal hatred towards ND or their fans (some of them..ehh, most of them...like any other program, they have their realllllll bad fans) so that avatar would not really affect me much, other than the constant "I thought you were an OSU fan" response that I would get about 11 times a day. But whatever.

I'll think of your avatar and signature later...i'm just gonna hit mr. pipe and come up with a good one...i'll let you know.
