I hit one of these up Tuesday night in Philadelphia. Pretty much all you can eat prime meat and a salad bar for one price.
Anyone else experienced one of the culinary wonders?

We went to one on our honeymoon down in Aruba. There is a Boi Na Braza here in Cincinnati that we haven't been to yet but will make it there eventually. Great stuff.

I went to one in Chicago. Can't remember the name. Pricey but my god if you don't leave full it's your own fault. Amazing. I had heard there was one in Cincy. Where abouts is it?

Also hit one in Chicago. It was Fogo de Chao. OUTSTANDING. $50 bucks a person but well worth it.

Not yet. How was their horseradish? Gotta have my horseradish with prime rib. Sadly the best prime rib used to be Damons (rip) now Texas Roadhouse has an ok one.

Its not Prime Rib. Its 16 different cuts of meat including pork. Look it up. It truly is a feast. They bring the meats to your table. The salad bar is special too.

Gotcha. Looks like http://local.yahoo.com/info-33919313-amazon-grill-steak-house-columbus is the spot for Cbus unless someone knows otherwise.

Went to one in Portland in September - really good. First him I ever had roasted goat - it was actually pretty good.
They occasionally have capybara on the menu - it's essentially a South American guinea pig about the size of a hog. Gotta try that if I'm ever out there at the right time.

I've been to the Brasa in Cleveland, which is one of these. It was fantastic. I'd recommend it to anyone.

It's a must to get the drink "Guarana" with the meal.
It's such an addicting drink.

I have only heard my friend talk about such places from his time in Brazil. I didn't think the stuff up here would be worth it. I guess I will have to check it out.

I have heard a lot of good things about Fogo de Chao. But it's out of my price range (and probably always will be).
My first experience was one in Dallas-area (could've been around Desoto/Duncanville). The place was awesome. It was just a hole-in-the-wall joint. The group I was with was treated very nicely there.
I want to go back to another one...soon!

Been to Fogo de Chao in about six different locations and three different Texas de Brazils. It is pretty much the ultimate dining experience for me. Love the garlic Picanha and the Filet Mignon. I typically just leave my card on red after confirming with the gauchos carrying those two that every time a new one comes off the fire, I get the first slice(s).
For those who haven't been there - you get a card, one side red, one side green. If you have the green side up, all of the different folks walking around will stop at your table and offer you a slice (or piece or whatever). When you turn the card to red, they won't stop and bother you. It is easy to fill up fast by saying, "yes" to everyone because everything looks or sounds good. Pace yourself. Grab a few bites and turn it to red. Savor it for a bit and then go back to green.
