Who said the sky if falling? I was one of the only ones on here saying the Tribe would contend for the Central BEFORE the season started. Hell, I was saying it as early as the end of last season.

I don't think anybody on here said the Tribe is done, but that doesn't mean none of us can't be frustrated with the recent performance. Yes, every team in baseball goes through stretches like this. Doesn't make it any less frustrating when your team does it.

In fact, it makes it even more frustrating when you know what your team is capable of. Fact is, te offense has sucked for a good stretch now. They need to get the bats going and Grady needs to get his head out of his ass.

If Detroit gets swept by Boston today, the Tribe could leave the day with a bigger division lead, even though they lost. Need to pick things up in Toronto.

Yep. The AL Central has been terrible. Thank god we got off to such a hot start lol.

I do remember back in '07 the Tribe basically went .500 in June and July.

And some in August too. I remember how frustrating that whole stretch was too. They were lucky the Tigers were playing just as bad. I would much rather not count on the Tigers doing bad this time, and just see the Tribe put them away lol.

.

That's been the only saving grace to this recent swoon. For as bad as the Tribe has seemed to have been recently, seems like the rest of the division has been just as bad.

Indians just have to weather the storm and grind out some W's.

Would be nice to get guys fully healthy and ready to roll.

When your DH is out and your CF just came back from injury and isn't hitting at all, and your big hitting catcher is hitting .200 and your 3 hitter is hitting .240, you can't afford to have your 3B hit .220 when you have a young guy who can come up and do at least that much. Time for Hannahan to sit down. The pitching is coming back down to earth, which we knew it would, but now we need to be able to score some runs or we are staring an 80 win season in the face.

Bringing up a rookie 3B who is hitting .278 in AAA and has committed numerous errors will not solve any of the issues this team is facing during this rough stretch.

Cleveland just needs to get healthy and grind through their tough schedule ahead of them. If anyone though Cleveland wouldn't hit a tough stretch, then they are idiots.

Still didn't drop a game since Detroit lost. Just maintain the lead, get to the playoffs in the weak Central and anything can happen after that.

No need for people to get so angry....we got beat by better teams lately. I love our hot start, but the tribe has less talent than the red sox and rays. He might win the division....cuz the central is horrible, but I could see us being like minny when it comes to playoffs. I am just enjoying the a cleveland team overachieving for once...lol

Go Tribe!

I love it. I am loving this season.

It just frustrates me everytime we lose I don't even want to come on here because it seems like people are always bitching about something. Its baseball. If the Indians maintained their pace they would have the greatest season in the history of the game. Obviously that isn't going to happen so what does that tell us? They are going to have to come back to earth a little. And that means losing series on the road to good teams. It happens to every team. As long as they take care of business at home, they can play .500 or even slightly below .500 on the road and still win 90ish games and the division. It just seems like sometimes every game is made out to be game 7 of the World Series.

TBone: you and I are thinking alike! What bothers me is the carping during the middle innings. Good God, we have to play a full 9!

We are doing good.

Hmmm, maybe I missed the memo where you're not allowed to voice frustration during a game or after a bad loss. I'll go back and read the fine print of being a fan to see if I can find it.

BTW, I'd be willing to start the next series thread to he my first of the season, unless somebody else had plans of doing so.

You go for it!

BTW.....I was thinking what you were saying about "carping" and that you certainly have your right to do that. I am just trying to remain positive.

I don't understand why you are taking what I am saying personally. Nothing is aimed at you. Just speaking generally.
