the scary thing is I heard Hannahan is having a better year than his career numbers.

Marte is stinking it up in AAA though so I doubt he would be doing any better.

I think trading for Blake is more likely than seeing Chisenhall before rosters expand.

Hannahan is pretty much hitting his career average now...he started off hot though.

1. We already traded him away.

2. I can see the Tribe getting bent over in that trade, and setting them back. Yeah he might help this year, but it will cost the team in the future. This team might make the playoffs, and then next year they are fighting for third (see 2007 to 2008), that's the life of small market teams. It's not a good idea to trade away our prospects.

I kind of disagree with this....I mean, I don't really want Blake, but I like what Milwaukee did a few years back. They traded away major prospects for CC...they took their shot. Yeah, it didn't work out, but I want ownership to put it all on the line to get that elusive championship for this city.

His value isn't near as high as it was 3 yrs ago, and like you said small market teams rarely have more than 1 good year. You have to do everything you can. Doubtful Dolan would add payroll though.

When they got Lofton from Texas in 2007 I don't think they gave up much, Blake isn't much younger.

You can't compare a player of CC's caliber to Casey Blake lol.
