Look at it this way. It's a fuck of a lot better to have a bitch ditch you while you're dating (regardless of how long and how seriously you were dating) than it is for you two to get hitched and then have shit come crashing down.

I got married late in life. I was always looking and laughing at those men who got all tied up in marriage and were allowed to spend any of their money, wasnt allowed to really do anything with their friends, etc etc etc and had a battle ax as a wife.
