Not just sitting on -- complicit in creating for all intents and purposes.
Perhaps the most egregious example of media bias in our country's history...and one the media never wants us to remember but one we should never forget.

I love when people say Fox is biased towards conservatives and Republicans. Makes you wonder if they have ever actually watched a minute of the channel. I guess I am just a different kind of cat because I don't find Bachman or Palin to be batshit crazy. I am more inclined to believe the liberal way of thinking is batshit crazy but to each their own I guess. I just wish Gibby and people who truly support the president could present valid reason for why they want him to be president again.

Depends on when they watch. If all they watch is Beck/Hannity/Goofy Morning Crew, then yeah, they're pretty damn biased. If they watch the actual news blocks (Shep/Wallace et al) then they'd see what the studies have actually proven...that Fox News is the most centrist of all the cable and broadcast networks.bigdaddy2003;817412 wrote:I love when people say Fox is biased towards conservatives and Republicans. Well yeah I know that Hannity is for sure. Beck is against big government but he isn't for either party. O'Reilly isn't biased and he is one of the most hated for some reason. Must be because he is the most successful.

I try to watch at least some of all the Fox News commentary programs on a semi-regular basis, at least until I get to the point of throwing something at the TV set. Their regular news reporting does have a conservative slant, though. They report the news, but they focus sometimes from a negative aspect, as evidenced by their scrolls. Sensationalism is what drives all of the cable news outlets and Fox is one of the leaders. Roger knows his stuff.

It is slanted conservatively that's for sure but that's not really a problem with me. My problem is that they (and not just them other networks as well) tend to mix their actual news with the commentary and seem to almost deliberatly play the commentary off as news.fish82;817454 wrote:Depends on when they watch. No, I won't because I'm not of the opinion that all of our problems stem from the left. Plenty of them do sure, but I also hold a lot of the blame at the right's feet. No, I'm 21.
Your tune will change when you have a career and see how much you don't make a year because of low life's that keep the left in office

Saying Fox has a tiny slant is like being a little pregnant. MSNBC has tried to copy Fox's slant but on the liberal side. So far they're losing the viewership battle by a wide margin.

Sorry, but as an independent I don't see the major slant on Fox like I do on MSNBC. I have seen Fox compliment democrat when they do something right. Have you seen the same on MSNBC?

Hell, MSNBC hired Michael Steele as a contributor. The only left-leaner on Fox is the sorry-assed Juan Williams, who lets Bill O'Reilly treat him like one of his female staffers.
Seriously, though, neither network offers up props to the other side. I simply haven't seen it from either one.
And what in the hell happened to Brit Hume to make him so cynical? Did ABC News shove a firecracker up his ass before he left? That man seems incapable of showing any emotion.

President Nixon was called dick every day he while he was president. No one was suspended or forced to appolagize. It was OK because he was a Republican.Heretic;818970 wrote:Apparently one of MSNBC's guys was suspended for referring to Obama as a "dick". Damn liberal...

Mark Halpern, and because he is one.bigdaddy2003;819025 wrote:Yeah, who was it and why did he call him a ****?
I kid. He didn't actually call him one...he said he was "acting like a dick" during the press conference. While it might not be the classiest statement of the week...it was 100% accurate.

Maybe because that was his name?

Actually, Halpern got an assist from the production team on Morning Joe on this one. They were discussing the presser and Halpern asked if the delay was on. Scarborough told him they could activate it and Halpern made his comment. Unfortunately for him, the folks in the control booth pressed the wrong button and we all got to hear his comment. Halpern spent the rest of his time on the program looking quite ill. He even stated at one point "my career is over".
The sad truth is, even though it was an inappropriate choice of words, he was spot on correct.

Perhaps MSNBC/NBC’s policy deems it offensive to say vulgar things about the President of the United States, but attacking the leading Republican candidate using old, tired, stereotypical and offensive comments is just fine.

Hey, that's a pretty interesting website. I'd be willing to bet a lot of our righties moonlight on that site. Barry Goldwater would be considered a flaming liberal on that one.
