I forgot about Utah. The others I wouldn't be so sure. If there is a credible 3rd party those states could well go Obama.

Unfortunately Social Conservativism has become the driving force in the party over Fiscal Conservatism. Paul will not get the support the from those because he won't make a Federal Law against Abortion or Gay Marriage. And because he won't go blow up Syria, Egypt, Iran, Venezuela, Cuba..etc... He will not get the Neo Con Wing of the Party

Our top priority HAS to be getting our Fiscal House in order. Without it, nothing else matters. The Road to Recovery cannot include a path of more spending and more wars.

One of my friends has done some writing for him and thinks he's the shit. We obviously disagree.

If Santorum is the nominee we might as well not even have the election. Though that would make it easier for Ron Paul to garner votes as a third party.

I would love to see a 3-way poll with Obama/Santorum/Paul. Ron gets 20% against Obama/Romney. He might beat Santorum as a 3rd party.

It really isn't that deep. They vote for who the TV tells them to vote for. Many don't really care about cutting any spending. They hear all day on Fox about the grave threat Iran is. Analyzing the 3-man race. I was talking about the race with my mother this past weekend and she didn't know Ron Paul was still running. The whole thing is a joke. They are told that we have to get the socialist out of office at all costs, and we have to do it by replacing him with a fascist.

No joke I met Santorum randomly back in May 2000 at my buddy's wedding rehearsal dinner. The affair was at a swank (or is swank as it gets) country club near Altoona PA. Santorum had a fundraiser scheduled in one suite, my buddy's rehearsal dinner was in another and also included a reservation of a "common area". Santorum's team came over to ask if their group could also use the common area and we told them no, that this is a once in a lifetime event and it had been scheduled for months. Santorum was cool about it, shook hands with my friend and all of the groomsman. Seemed a little slick, but all politicians are. I don't want him to win the primary, but I'll vote for anyone against the current disaster.

Santorum will soon face the rath of Romney's money. He won't attract the centrist and it will be difficut for him to even win the nomination. I don't think he can win the Presidentcy and that's saying a lot considering who he would be facing.

Did you watch the news networks before Iowa? For 2 days all they could talk about was Santorum's "surge" that they manufactured.

That could be Barack's plan. He would be giddy if the Republicans nominated Santorum.

I bet you think you're smarter than everyone and your opinion is golden.

My ancestors came here only speaking German and knowing how to work hard. Because of them my life doesn't suck.

If Quinn and Rose, Levin, Beck all back him, how is he the worst choice?

That is what's important. Backing a guy that wins just so we can say we were on the Santorum team. Never mind the guy who has the ideas the country needs. Are you a child? This isn't a football team. I don't give a fuck about the Republican party. I care about the fiscal solvency of this country and the value of the money I earn.

Do independent voters give a fuck who Levin is backing? Most independents are socially liberal, which is the opposite of Santorum who wants the government to police every thought and action you take. Many people, now perhaps more than ever, are fiscally conservative, which is also the opposite of Santorum who voted for more spending as a Senator than many of the liberals at the time.

Amen. I am so tired of hearing "Don't support the guy you truly believe in because he won't win. Instead vote for someone else you'd rather not have." I understand the premise, but it's sad. And I will support the guy I BELIEVE in. Period.

Guys, sjmvklsjrioejwfioej3928re9w isn't a liberal, he's been on here touting how much he likes Romney if I remember correctly.

Even if he were a liberal he's right that you have to be stupid to think Santorum is a good candidate.
